Man, that biz idea of starting a European based Hair consultancy for brothers cross seas is looking more and more profitable. Them dudes are lost I tell you.

A little reminiscent of "Demolition Man."

He lives in England, not Europe. Big difference.

Terrible news. I hope he recovers well. Was it two years ago when Coq played at RB and looked lost? Then he went on loan and today, he is a top prospect. Was hoping for the same with Frimmy.

:( How terrible is this for him, what a blow. Hopefully he can make a full recovery because he's one of those guys you can tell really just loves to play the game.

bummer. it couldn't have been easy recovering last year and it seemed like he worked hard to put himself into a position to continue on. hope the kid can keep his motivation up and keep working hard.

Terrible news. Can our young players get any luck? Poor Frimmy. Luckily for us we have the versatile Coquelin.

If only a ruptured ACL was like a ruptured appendix... if they take it out quickly that's the end of it, with no chance at future recurrence.

But one, now two ruptured ACL's for this boy... the long-term durability of his knees must be a bit in question now me thinks.

Having said this, I really have very little medical knowledge so maybe I'm dead wrong?!

I really don't think it's that big a deal anymore. It's a long rehab, but it seems that most players recover fully. Not sure what it means as far as risk of further injury.

    Does anybody remember Yatil Green?

Very fast wide receiver for the Dolphins. Blew out both knees. Had to retire after like 3 seasons.

Since pace is not a big component of Frimmy's game. He should be fine. Maybe he simply has too much muscle mass and it puts too much pressure on his knees.

Yatil Green had those ACL injuries in a different era. He had 10 surgeries on his knee in 3 years. I doubt any pro athlete who suffers an ACL injury would have that happen to them in the last 5 years unless other complications happen.

IMO, Frimpong's peak performance will not be as long as it should have been because of these injuries.

The Dr.s told me that surgically repaired knees are actually about 10% stronger once rehabbed completely. 5 years after surgery, I'm not sure weather I believe them or not.

I certainly do. But not sure if its the result of me busting my a$$ during rehab and then subsequently making more an effort to go hard on legs in my workout regiment.

If anything, its the confidence factor that prolongs the "injury" after healing. Mentally it takes a lot to trust your body with the cutting, the pivoting, etc that your knees do so much of after surgery. After the mental hurdle, Frimpong should be fine.
