Lyon is in Montreal on July 24 to play the Impact, another possible choice for the replacement squad.

Goff had a tweet about Roma might be at NYRB on the 27th but that RBA was hosting the French Super Cup on the 28th with a "hmm..."

Goff hunch echoes my previous thought: PSG. They're already scheduled to be here and adding a game between NYC and Montreal makes $en$e...

If it proves true and PSG is the replacement, do you see much of a difference in terms of attendence vs. if Juventus had been playing. I am going to the game as I will be in town in from Toronto for the Liverpool Spurs match earlier in the day up the road in Baltimore.

It has been in the air for a few days already... Juve plays Napoli in Bejing on Aug 11 for the Supercoppa Italiana, Conte bitched that with the northamerican trip that was too much traveling around, and here is the result. The Supercoppa schedule was just announced a few days ago, it was debated whether to play it in Italy or China, but the Italian league has a contract to play in China 3 out of 4 Supercoppa Italiana, included this one and last year's one. I am disappointed, I was hoping to see this match

If they'll play PSG or Montpellier that's fine with me too. Actually, I don't care who they play - I'll be there anyway...

With no Superliga to kick around anymore, why not Pachuca, or Santos Laguna, or Monterrey?

If I remember correctly, Goff reported that United were planning on playing a "Latin" club in addition to the Euro club. I "assumed" it would be one of the larger Mexican or South American clubs.

PSG is interesting, but not interesting enough to make me go. But with the time change I couldn't anyway.

The later time change actually makes it easier for me.

I really like the time change, gives me time to make it over from Baltimore as I also have Liverpool Spurs tickets and make the Screaming Eagles tailgate.

Double-header works for me, even if the games are in two different cities. PSG expects to complete signing of Argentine forward Ezequiel Lavezzi from Napoli on Monday. I'm actually pretty excited to see someone different from the usual suspects on these American tours, and PSG has a good team.

PSG is like a new Man City, they have tons of money to invest, but they still struggle to get super big names; I think mostly depends on the league they're in, Ligue 1 is really good IMO but it doesn't have the same appeal of EPL, or the Liga or serie A. Right now they're pressing tight for Thiago Silva, who apparently doesn't want to sign a renewal of his future contract without get loaded with money (kinda like Ibra, ~12mln Euro / season)

Spot on. With all that Qatari money, PSG is looking to become one of Europe's superclubs. They're not quite there yet, but they boast some serious talent. Nene, Javier Pastore, and Kevin Gameiro scored a bunch of goals last season, and although a few players undoubtedly will be missing because of the EURO, such as Thiago Motta and Jeremy Menez, I'd expect the South Americans to be on tour. They'll have played Chelsea already the weekend before and should be a little more fit for DCU. I can't wait, because as I wrote before, it's nice to see some different clubs from different leagues on these tours. Personally, I'd rather see the French runnersup than mid-level EPL or championship teams (no offense Pompey fans) or Mexican clubs. Last season I was thrilled to see Ajax even if the crowd was small and Christian Eriksen wasn't there, same thing goes for PSG.
