even if chelsea match the 100 million pound asking price, the club will simply say no thank-you, our chairman and sporting directors have both made it clear, the player will not be leaving valencia untill 2013 once his contract expires, even then could he renew it if he wants.

i think its fair to say Villa is priceless.

When hes fit he is, no use Flores playing him with a hamstring injury and getting 15 minutes out of him every week. :(

no player is priceless or bigger than a club. if Valencia need the money, they will sell him. Don't be confused about that! Trust me I don't want him at Chelsea, his style is more for either Arsenal or anyone in La Liga.

valencia wouldnt sell villa out of the benefits of their finance, we must remember Villa isnt our only talent we have got more, but the fact is valencia dont need the money, they need a 25-a-season goalscorer and they have got one, they wont be threatened by the big clubs offering for their prized possesion.

No player is priceless? what about Ronaldihno or Rooney, teams would just not know how much to pay for them. They're talents are so high they cannot be priced, and i do not recall saying any player was bigger than their club.

    Ended 2-0.

Yet again he builds on an impressive goalscoring record for Spain.

Both good finishes but OMG, his 2nd was amazing.

A floated cross in from Silva on the left wing, he met it first time with an over head kick back across the keeper. Exquisite finish.

EDIT: Link for anyone who hasnt seen it.

Yeh not only has his 3 goals in Spains last two matches been important for them but for Valencia aswell, Villa is building up his self belief again and hopefully can hit top form on the weekend.

to say Villa scores again is an understatment, the freaking 2nd goal was pure magic.

I truly (for the sake of our national team) hope he becomes the next
    Ronaldihno.

I have to agree with catfish though, I can't see valencia turning 100 million down... but more importantly, I can't see anybody paying 100 million for any player on earth at the moment. maybe in 10 years with the inflation going up, 100mil is a lot of freaking money.

Well what can i say:rolleyes: it won't be long before his name appears in the "player of the year" catergory.

    His second goal was special:)

And as for the one hundred million, its all about the clubs desire and if they want him like us fans do they will reject it.

No player is priceless. If any club bid 100mil for any player they would except.

The closest player IMO that has come close to that priceless figure has to be Thierry Henry, not because I am an Arsenal fan but that fact that we have turned down a 70mil offer for him a couple of seasons ago and a 50mil offer last season

Im not going to change my mind.

If they offered 100 instead of 70 do you really think that they would have accepted?

I dont think that Barca would accept 100mill for Messi because a player of his talents at his age isnt something we see every day.

Trust me they would, Messi is a talented player and isn't worth more than 50mil nevermind 100mil.
100mil can buy you what? 5 world class players for 20mil. The only way a club would bid 100mil if every club in the world was owned by "Abramhovic's."
Any club in the world would accept a 100mil offer no matter what player it is.

I guess every president values their players differently. But today we have got inflated prices and who to say clubs want more for average players let alone world class players who havent even hit 20.

I still think there are clubs who would rather have a player than 100 mill. My opinion isnt going to change.

    Thank god

Why do the media choose to ignore him? i still bet the stupid same old rumours continue despite this.

Why does the heading say "Villa hints at Valencia stay"? He doesnt hint it he makes it clear.

I should think that a decent sporting director would sit down and have a meeting with Villa offer him a lucratvie contract extension. But we know Carboni is far from decent so he will need to pull his act together to tie Villa down.

My guess is the media dont want to admit it that hes staying, they'd much rather him have a big cash transfer to England because it would be something for them to make a big deal over.
