The last 2 goals they gave up said a lot. Both times they stopped to argue, once on a foul, the second time to call for offsides. The second goal they just pretty much stopped and let Seattle run into the goal, hanging Hartman out to dry. Lots of talent that never got things right.
In all this celebrating and happiness that we're in our fourth MLS Cup Final in seven years. We forgot to ask where our son is at! Where the ******** is FC Dallas?! Where the ******** is FC Dallas?! Where the ******** is FC Dallas?! At home watching us play another cup final!
this ain't the right thread but Dallas is slightly related and this doesn't deserve its own thread ... guess who might be coming back to get a beating from Rico Clark
http://www.mlssoccer.com/news/artic...-seitz-named-2012-mls-works-humanitarian-year Dallas still sucks, well except this guy.
Jaja. Check it out. FCD Stadium (or, as they call it here, FC Stadium) is listed as the second largest high school football stadium in Texas. How proud that must make Dallas fans! I'm wondering how the average HS football attendance compares to FCD's. http://yestotexas.com/biggest-high-school-football-stadiums-in-texas/5/
The FCD Stadium is so simple and basic, it's like a today's version of the columbus crew stadium. I was not impressed one bit the couple times i've been there. It's basically just a hole in the ground with seats. It will never be mentioned as a top stadium and the only reason it was so expensive on paper was because they included the fields they have next to the stadium and their training complex all in the "stadium price." How much would our stadium cost if we included the training grounds as well?? I Imagine the actual stadium was very very cheap. Take also into consideration the awful location (not that frisco is a bad place but it would be the equivalent of us having to go to the woodlands and be forced to take hardy toll rd. to get there) and the middle of nowhere feeling and it just turns it into a mediocre soccer atmosphere before, after, and during the game of course.
And like we mentioned here I think after the USOC game, it seems to be going downhill. Some of the improvements are good, like the stands on the stage behind the goal. But a lot of it seems to be getting cheaper and not holding up well, like the signage, the concessions areas, the advertisements, they all seem to either be getting replaced with cheaper replacements or they are left to fade and weather.
I wonder if the people of Dallas believe FC DALLAS STADIUM Stands for Football (pointy ball) City Dallas stadium. That makes sense.
Not that BigSoccer is an accurate judge of anything, but this morning their game thread for last Saturday's game against their historic rival Chicago had....5 posts in it. And most were made after the game. What has happened up there? Really sort of sad. And that sort of thing better never happen here.
Nobody likes a loser for long. teams that suck for extended periods lose support. I wouldn't waste my money on seeing poor performances.
