Was listening to 103.7 Jack FM on the way home from work today, and one of their little self-advertisement messages between songs went something like this: "You're listening 103.7 Jack FM. Stuck in traffic on the South Loop? It could be worse... You could be in Dallas." I laughed so hard I almost hit the guy in front of me sitting at a red light.
It is a sad day in Frisco when the Dallas BS board has more Houston fans on it than their own people.
Remember that the TOS still applies here. No personal attacks, abusive language, etc. If this thread sticks to banter that doesn't violate the TOS, it stays. If not, it goes to the Rivalries Forum. We have always enforced the TOS in these forums and will continue to do so.
The best radio ad right now is for Pruets Gun and Ammo.. where at the end he Gives the scum directions, take I45 N to Dallas.
The announcers tonight (dallas announcers) said that the atmosphere in Robertson reminded them of a UTvsOU football game and the fact that the teams are orange and red added to it. In other words, the announcers said they were oklahoma and we were texas.
FC Dallas. What an embarassment to professional football. Not that there's anything they can do but I'd love the league to tell 'em the next time they pull this time wasting crap, they can expect points deducted. They got what they deserved tonight. Another beatdown.
Yeah, I hear that one all the time - I just don't know if it's 103.7 Jack FM or 93.7 The Buzz (or both?), as I listen to those FM stations the majority of the time, when I listen to FM. Regardless, DALLAS SUCKS. And is dead for the year.
So I happened upon the Houston Press' soccer coverage and found this image from the almost-happened-but-scrapped Dallas promo for one of the home games againts them last year. Yummy.
Can there be any doubt that Dallas is the choking-est city of all time? The Stars, Mavs and Cowboys all choked away in the postseason. Even that little inbred stepchild of a team in Frisco blew a lead in the first round of the playoffs. What a great weekend. Life is good indeed.
when your following is 90% tshirt fans, there is too much pressure to not choke the fans away. and living in a city like dallas will cause you to completely underestimate the world around you. with palms that sweaty i'm suprised they had the traction required to choke yourself.
He was definitely the victim of some very bad advice from Andrew Mellon. He did correct his mistakes and try to make things better and he finally had the right idea, but as I told my students just yesterday "Hoover sucked, because he acted too little, too late."
