I'll be there Friday cheering for the Sidekicks... Hiding among a group of Outlaws cheering for the Sockers...
Wish I could be down there for that. I met and hung out with him this year when he was in Chicago and he is a good guy.
I wish I could go... I did their soccer camps as a kid and got to meet Tatu a couple of times. Always seemed like such a cool guy.
Videos from last night's halftime ceremony... Tatu Career Highlights Thank You Tatu! ...the internationally famous Magic Hat makes an appearance at 0:37...
Any talk of the Sidekicks moving to the MISL? With Wichita, KC, and St Louis (next year), wouldnt it make more sense for them?
I would imagine this as being another reason for the PASL dropping a bunch of teams to the 2nd division. They want to keep teams like Dallas. Plus I'm not sure Dallas has the money to buy into the MISL at this point.
I think the Misl should reduce its Franchise fees to get teams like Dallas and Sandiego in the League
1. There is not any talk of the Dallas Sidekicks moving to the MISL. 2. Talk of the Dallas Sidekicks moving to the MISL is not happening. 3. There does not exist talk of the Dallas Sidekicks moving to the MISL. 4. Nobody I know is hearing talk of the Dallas Sidekicks moving to the MISL, and finally 5. Talk of the Dallas Sidekicks moving to the MISL has not come to pass. The Dallas Sidekicks will be in a PASL-I division with Rio Grande Valley Flash, Beaumont Strikers (having just secured desperately needed new ownership and sponsors), and the expansion Tulsa Revolution. All of these teams are closer to us than Wichita, KC, and St Louis (next year). There are also currently rumors circulating of a fifth team, the location of which is so much against the wishes of the overwhelming majority of Sidekicks fans who have heard it, that I will refuse to state, confirm, or deny it until the league makes the aforementioned ill-advised announcement official.
AND their number of games AND their payrolls AND their travel AND their league assessments AND their point values for each goal.
In the pacific division we will be losing most of our teams. I was thinking more of a Tacoma, Turlock wont be able to go in bigger buildings without moving cities. Hopefully Anaheim out of the league after this season!! New West Div.1 Dallas SD LV RGV Tulsa Where is the article about strikers having new ownership posted?
AND "increase" roster sizes to 60, AND move teams in and out of gyms, AND get rid of that pesky glass in the corners, AND get rid of that ridiculous rule that all goals have to be the same size, AND get a few more 425 seat "arenas" (see above). Come on Dallas Hammster......doesn't a lil part of you want to go to a game that isn't 16-2.
I will believe this new PASL format when I see it. There is no way it happens...... LV didn't even play all of their games in the Orleans Arena, Beaumont averaged 500 or so in that nice facility so they won't be back, etc. What the heck will the east look like. Detroit MIGHT go to where the Ignition played, Cincy already tried an arena, Ohio...well forget it, The Piasa will be the Piasa. My guess is that nothing will be different. Still a ton of teams and 1/2 of them playing in rec centers before 215 peeps. You will go from 19 teams to 9 pretty quick if you enforce this rule, and Milliken won't do that..
DALLAS SIDEKICKS PLAYOFFS - it's Rio Grande Valley Flash, after their 8-5 win over Chicago tonight. Game One - RGV vs Dallas 3:00pm, Sunday, February 24 at State Farm Arena, Hidalgo, TX. Game Two - Dallas vs RGV 7:30pm, Thursday, February 28 at Allen Event Center, Allen, TX. Minigame - Dallas vs RGV Immediately following Game Two, if necessary.
His point is that if Dallas and/or SD moved to the MISL they would face higher payroll costs and have to play more games.
that may be true but the MISL and the PASL need to work together and find a common ground to promote the sport and not kill it
I agree with 1 point goals but in the last 2 or 3 minutes of the game a horn should go off indicating that any goals scored outside the arc are now worth 2 points. This will give a chance for teams to make a comeback and will keep fans in theirs seats until the very last second of the game. Problem solved… You’re Welcome. Just call me commissioner Puma.
