Wow, their ticket prices are unusually high for the PASL. Even in the MISL, as a first year team, they would be high too.

For example, per game their front row seats cost $35 and midlevel seats cost $23. Comparable seats at the Blast cost $30 and $19 - these seats being sold individually and without the season ticket holder discount.

And what's up with the 3 point line arch on the diagram?

Sorry if it's "old news" then - just thought I'd post it all in a single thread for everyone to see!

did u ever think its because they are using a 6200 seat arean and the cost is a lot higher compaired to a 1500 seat arena or REC center

yeah but that still doesn't make up for the league they play in. Maybe they'll be the "Blast" or the "Wave" of the PASL and have their fans thinking they are watching some truly amazing/competitive league that's worth that much...

Ticket prices aren't set by the cost of the arena. Like anything else, they're set by what the seller believes the market will bear. If you planned to play in American Airlines Arena, you couldn't all of a sudden charge $150 a ticket to get to what you need to cover your rent.

Now, if you say you're playing in a nicer arena (which this seems to be) and the overall fan experience is more valuable, then you can charge more for a ticket because the fan is getting more value.

But the price of anything isn't set by what the seller needs to cover his or her costs. You hear this all the time, famously when the Reds claimed they needed to raise ticket prices if they wanted to keep Barry Larkin around, yet they never seem to reduce ticket prices when they cut payroll.

It's supply and demand, largely. You can't just make up a number. If the 'Kicks feel the market will pay what they're asking, good for them. The Yankees miscalculated what the market would bear on their tickets in the new stadium and loads of them go empty every game.

Ken, If more teams would calculate what they needed to cover expenses before they set ticket prices then these teams could make money and I can as history has shown they do not do it at all .

He's right. If you have only one fan you need to charge him $40,000 per game. If he brings a friend they only have to pay $20,000 each game and so on.

Or you could treat it like dinner at a restaurant and hand out a bill at the end of the game and everyone will kick in their share.

They seemed pricey to me as well. I live less than 3 miles from the place they will play at and will definitely be attending some matches, but when they are looking to charge close to as much, for less games, as my FCD season tickets you can count me out as an STH.

Front row of 103 at FCD (my price is actually less due to renewal) = $468

Front row on any part of the sideline at 'Kicks = $315

So you almost have to put Dallas in the East, right? (Assuming you stay with two divisions.) So you can have a Dallas/San Diego matchup in the finals, and not in the West bracket?

As much as I would like that,I think the pending Philadelphia franchise that the PASL is telegraphing and what I assume will be franchise losses in Arizona and Anaheim (no proof or evidence of either, just a feeling based on the off-the-field performance of both teams), Dallas will get put in the West.

From a pure fans perspective I prefer the East for road games.

I know, it's far from perfect. If they have enough teams to do three divisions, maybe you could get Dallas into one other than San Diego, but, yes, Arizona and Anaheim do not appear to be at all healthy at this point in time.

Then maybe you do the cross-division thing with playoffs. There are any number of things you can do (some more expensive than others), and, yes, it would be gerrymandering with a finals matchup in mind. But it might be the best thing for the league to do.

I talked to a former Player last night & he has told me that the Kixx are in the works to come back but they dont want anything to do with the MISL Business Model and are more interested in the PASL now if they go to the PASL this year that is the 3rd former MISL team to go to the PASL this year .

I expect the sockers ticket prices to go up to about the same level as Dallas next year

Does anyone have any information as far as the business end of the new Sidekicks? I'm just curious what they're going to do for marketing, if they're going to try and get Mark Cuban to the games (half-joking), etc...

No, they're gonna get TO to play a couple home games and then fire him.
