Dukla Praha, then in the 5th division, purchased the rights of some 2nd division club last year. Opava did the same thing a few years back when they were also in the 5th division. This was a year after they voluntarily relegated themselves from the 2nd to the 5th division.

This weekend I might go watch TJ Hana Prostejov against TJ Smrzice. Should be an easy win for Hana. :)

  4. Why was the Slovacko crowd so big ? Over 5,000 fans would be good for the League above !! Was that a local derby ? (to be honest, I don't actually know where Slovacko is / play)

HFK Olomouc still in good position for a late push for promotion. Poses an interesting question, their full name is 1.HFK Olomouc, why the heck have they got a 1. at the beginning of their name.

Have a good week-end sports my friend, me ? I'm off to Gigg Lane, Bury to watch FC United of Manchester (a fans run version of Manchester United) take on the mighty Radcliffe Borough. We just beat 'em at home on Tuesday night in the Semi Final of the Cup in front of 1,200 deliriously happy fans (3-1 to the Boro). The crowd on Saturday will be three times bigger so should be a great atmosphere.

I remember a few years back when Quorn beat FC United of Manchester in the FA Vase. :)

    1. FC Slovacko were in the first division last year, and they had decent fan support. This hasn't changed since they were demoted.

I'm not sure where the '1.' comes from? I know the official name of Brno is 1. FC Brno.

I went to a 6th division game on the weekend - Sokol Cechovice vs Sokol Mostkovice. They play in the Olomoucky Kraj - 1.A. Trida B.

HFK Olomouc won 2-1 at home against Dukla Praha. A good win for Holice, as they are climbing the table towards a promotion spot.

    1. SK Prostejov again will not have a men's team next year. However, I followed Hana Prostejov who play in the 8th level for most of the season. They've won promotion of the 1.B trida of the Olomoucky Kraj (7th level) for next season. :)
