    Old thread

Interest in the old thread was so high I've had to start a new one. All my old "how to's" are at the link above.

I've got something big in the pipeline to celebrate my comeback - white/gold Vapor II's with customization - stay tuned ;)

Really nicely done. Are you going to wear them for games? i would expect the gold to peel off though.

What do you guys reccomend to make my obsidian vapor III's pure black? And is there anything I can put over the paint to protect it from smudging?

yeah that puzzled me too as i wanted to black out my vapor IV's i really dont want a smudge so idk about customizing non leather materials good luck if you pull it off.

    Heres something I tried..
First I went over the gold in permanent marker but it look to shiny and 'purpley' So I went over th permanent marker with a whiteboard marker and sprayed with anti-perspirant deodrant because someone told me ages ago to, because it makes it absorb it all or some thing :S .. But the whiteboard marker doesnt wipe off now soo.. :)
And I did the sole aswell even though I know its going to come off

I just bought some bright pink neon laces for my SL's :D

I'll show pics when I get them...

Oh yeah, this w***** trod on my foot for no reason in the game and his studs were the sharpest buggers I've seen on any boot, he put a F****** hole in the upper!
It's only small but still, it will get bigger and I'll have to say good bye to them...
Or i'll put them on my shelf to prove I had them. :p

WTF somebody studded you and your Carbon Fibre 'very tough' boots just got a hole in them? Damn they might be poor quality but I can't wait to see pics.

not all the way and its tiny...
It's the plastic that got a tiny hole in and the carbon fibre has just started to fray out of the top...

Oh right so it isn't the actual CF, just the outer plastic layer.

How do you customize the colors on the vapors i have the pine green vapor ivs and tbh i hate the color. I removed the lace cover tho. Is there anyway i can white out the boot and maybe change the swoosh to a specific color? if i can which kind of paint can i use.

No offence dude, but if you hated the colour in the first place you had a few more to choose from...

    Fair do's.

Problem with Vapors is they are synthetic so finding a paint that sticks is difficult. I don't know what to suggest in all honesty.
