i read the loan expires in July but seems there's not a spot for him in chivas, a lot of strikers there. Maybe Vergara could send him on loan to another mexican club.
A mid table club from Slovenia or Finland or some irrelevant shit like that. MLS essentially a recreational league. Cubo will flop as hard as Brek Shea going from such a shit league to an actual professional league with deep rosters having to compete for playing time with proven players.
You cant make those assumptions. Need i remind you that he was doing pretty well in the MFL before he dropped in form when he was only 18. Whats to say he's not regaining his level of play, he's still only 21.
He's not going to any good or midtable European club based on his performance in the MLS, it would be a recipe for disaster as the immense difference in quality would be too much to overcome. I mean scoring against a bunch of amateur defenders who are making 100k or less per season is nowhere near the same as scoring against professional organized defenses of Europe or even those of South America. Scoring or regaining form in the MLS is simply not a good barometer to prove that he'd be ready for a league of superior quality.
I still believe he can compete for a position in teams like Elche, Celta de Vigo. He can also make a good case in the Portuguese league or Dutch league. No one said he should go to Premier league but to relegate him to a league like the Slovanian or Finish leagues is ridiculous. He had success in Mexico as a youngster I dont understand why you would think he couldnt do it again even in a european league. I mean you dont think we have decent defenders in Mexico? I would still say give him at least a full season and speculate but dont doubt the kid he still has time. Just my two cents I understand where you are coming from I mean it is the MLS but I think he is taking this time in MLS to mature a bit on his mental game, gain some confidence you know.
Well, as an admirer of Chivas futbol I know Cubo has talent and what seperates him from any of the other MLS players is that he came up from one of the best canteras in Mexico which blows anything in MLS out of the water and that should be his saving grace rather than what he does or can achieve in MLS. The Slovenia and Finland comment was really more of a tongue-in-cheek comment being that a lot of MLS player end up in leagues that aren't all that great, except maybe 2 keepers and some defensive players, rumor has it that MLSs MVP Omar Gonzalez's biggest Euro interest comes from Scotland lol, but I don't think there has ever been an stricker from the MLS that has made it in a good league, see Jozy lol. Afterall, the farthest that last years leading MLS scorer ended up in was Liga MX with Queretaro. He needs to go back to Mexico, solidify himself as a titular in Chivas, play some international tourneys (club or NT) to prove his capable of being able to perform against pros rather than amatuers and then see if he can get into a Euro squad but while he's in the MLS none of the above are going to happen, kid probably won't be even considered for the olympics (assuming he's still eligible) if he's still playing in MLS by the time it comes around . But yes he is still young and has lots of potential and I honestly hope he turns out great and not just a forgotten Mexican player in MLS.
He could end up like Freddy Montero who was loaned out to Sporting CP and bought him after his real good performance ( of course he choose the worst time to hit his slump) but he was the leading goal scorer for a good amount of time in the Portuguese league this season. It all comes down to who is scouting him and if the price is reasonable, and if it does happen better hope Vergara doesn't try to sell him for a ridiculous amount that clubs will lose interest.
Can't believe the hype going on in here over him scoring in MLS. You all should be ashamed of yourselves.
He's only 21 relax mayne , give the young man a lil credit he's improving his form at the very least.... Them ni66as spoiled these days...
