It's time to summon "the Unholy Unibrow from Hell" Nery Castillo from the depth of the abyss....
His mad skills combined with Emanuel Villa's knack for the goal will be deadly.

    Chaco, Nery & Villa = the 9th star & CCL'11

Because so many Mexican fans gotta be fukin haters. They won't stop rubbing in the fact that the club ends up as runners up in almost every tournament they're in.

Pretty disrespectful of Cruz Azul to not even know that BMO Field has grass. According to the Cruz Azul website the club practiced on a synthetic pitch before leaving for Toronto because they thought this was what they played on in Canada.

I blog about all things Toronto FC and I have posted my thoughts on how things might go this evening.

Also can we get a Mod to rename this to the 2010/11 in the thread title?

They should leave it how it is for now. If the team qualifies for the Quarterfinals, then change the thread title to 2009-2011.

    Very disrespectful.

But then again.. MLS teams deserve no respect.

Except for when they're kicking your ass 2-0 at the half.

It aint over 'til the fat lady sings!

In my pre-game blog I got it all wrong. I thought TFC would not win Tuesday Evening against Cruz Azul in the CONCACAF Champions League. But lo and behold TFC plays some of their best soccer in franchise history to win their first foray into the Champions League Group Stages 2-1 at BMO Field.

Some video thoughts along with scenes from the south stands.

Cruz Azul is gonna beat Toronto 2-0 at home. If both teams play the same way it could be a lil worse for the Toronto team.

Your so called "sportsmen" were a disgrace last night, particularly your captain.

he is a dirty player and I hope he gets what he deserves. karate chops to the throat of an opponent and only getting a yellow for it is an absolute disgrace.

What are you talking about? He made a semi-attempt to push him in the upper chest region. I don't remember him getting even close to his throat, but the refs were so biased through out the game. I guess it gave the allusion we were playing dirty. Doesn't matter. We will shut this team out when we play in Mexcio as all the teams we'll face down there. Good luck with second place.

And the "tackle" Torrado msde a few minutes after he came on on Martin Saric was disgraceful as well. Torrado should have had two yellows for sure. Obviously Mexico sends Jack Warner and CONCACAF a lot more money that Canada does for the shameful officiating on display in Toronto last evening.

Yeah, that's it. ;) Jack also likes cocaine. So from here on out don't ever think about getting a fair chance when playing a Mexican team...genius.

The only disrespect was what Toronto showed to Cruz Azul! Seriously this is the first time I see a Mexican team get outplayed and embarrased by an MLS team. You know it was a bad result when a team from Honduras made it tougher for Toronto than Cruz Azul did!

El Tri is already a cliente of the USMNT and if Mexican teams start losing to MLS teams now that's going to hit the pride of Mexican futbol and Mexican fans hard.
