    Teams managed:

    1992–1994 Cannes
    1994–1996 Paris SG
    1996–2000 Athletic Bilbao
    2000–2003 Paris SG
    2003–2004 Espanyol Barcelona
    2005 Al Rayyan
    2005–2006 Beitar Jerusalem
    2006–2007 Real Betis
    2008–2009 Stade de Reims
    2010–present Israel

Best Israeli players in my opinion are: Tal Ben Haim, Yossi Benayoun - talented, often injured, he was on exit door during this summer from Chelsea.

    Group F:

    Teamv · d · e
Pld W D L GF GA GD Pts

    Greece 6 4 2 0 8 3 +5 14
    Croatia 6 4 1 1 10 3 +7 13
    Israel 7 4 1 2 10 7 +3 13
    Georgia 7 2 3 2 5 5 0 9
    Latvia 6 1 1 4 5 9 −4 4
    Malta 6 0 0 6 2 13 −11 0

    Analyze:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UEFA_Euro_2012_qualifying_Group_F

Latvia will be eliminated if they do not defeat Georgia, OR Croatia defeat Malta AND Israel and Greece do not draw.

Latvia will be unable to win the group if Croatia defeat Malta, OR Israel and Greece do not draw.

Georgia will be eliminated if they do not defeat Latvia AND Croatia defeat Malta AND Israel and Greece do not draw.

Georgia will be unable to win the group if they lose to Latvia, OR they draw with Latvia AND either Croatia defeat Malta, OR Israel and Greece do not draw.

Israel's chances, response to Croatia fan

Croatia ALWAYS seems to have Israel's number! There's no way Israel gets a W here, but a D would be sweet. That is what makes this match vs Greece so important. If they can get 3, then 1 vs Croatia, they can sit back and not worry so much about the other results before the Malta game, which should be an easy 3. I've done a lot of the scenarios and the only realistic way Israel gets 2nd place is with a win vs Greece. This game on Friday is everything. I think it's more realistic to get 2nd over Greece than it is over Croatia, especially with the goal differential. What do you all think?

Re: Israel's chances, response to Croatia fan

Yes, it sounds like that, we had also some friendly matches, but it's hard to win against us. We are technical team, we don'' kick the ball, and wait what will happen.:D Some nice matches we played together. This upcoming match is so important from Croatia - home match/first place/we have crisis. Draw wouldn't be good at all for both teams, because Israel has one match more.

We will support Israel against Greece, that's for sure, because Greece is our direct opponent.:D We played 0-0 in Croatia against them. We had ball possession, but nothing came good.:D

I think that Israel is stronger than Greece, Israel play more with attacks. Even though our group is boring, to much of defensive teams (Georgia, Latvia, Malta, Greece). Croatia always had some dose of drama against Israel, against Greece we ruled on the court. But we need also to experience court in Athens. Direct entrance on EURO 2012 would be so good after not qualifying in South Africa.:(

Group for Brazil 2014 is harder for Croatia: Serbia, Scotland, Wales, Macedonia and Belgium. No San Marino, or Andorra like before.:D

First we will go on Malta on September 2nd than we will play against you guys in Croatia.:) Are you coming as supporter?:p Where are you from? USA? Are you Israeli?

Worse thing is when you need to listen results from other countries, this sucks, we never had a luck in these types of matches. But because of that we all like football.

What do you think about Israeli shape, skills? Saw some new players, before Toto Tamuz played.:D Colautti..Katan..some good players.

That was a good breakdown of what is ahead for Group F. :)

To be honest I am not that familiar with Israel's squad. I am first and foremost a USA fan but I have a lot of family in Israel so I follow them as well. I am trying to learn more of their roster so I can recognize the players when they play. Of course I know Benayoun, he's great.

I noticed Israel has played better under Fernandez than they did under Kashtan. They attack more. Under Kashtan they were boring and seemed to be happy with draws.

You have Israeli-Jewish heritage than? You should learn more than about Israel.:) At least you could learn how do they look.:D
I spend few months in Israel as a tourist, learned about their culture, holidays, for example: Jomim Noraim, Purimspil, Yom Kippur, Rosh Hashanah, Pesah about their culture, learned some words, congratulations for the new year: Leshana tova tikatev, Leshana tova umetuka, Kohanim, Talit Katan, Mezuza, Mohel, Brit Mila, Adonai, Somer dlatot Jisrael, Aarba Minim, Hala, Hamanntaschen, Menorrah, Micvot, Ijjar, Kislev are months in the year and know many Yiddish words, because they are similar to German language. But I don't have any heritage beside Croatian.

Fernandez is a good coach, Croatia didn't met him I think in first match in Israel, so I really don't know much about Israeli improvement. But remember Fernandez from PSG, he had worse conflicts with Ronaldinho Gaucho, he pulled him out, than Ronaldinho would yell on him on the court. Very bad situation this was, especially because I like PSG as a club.

That's why Ronaldinho left in Barcelona I think. It was choice: Fernandez or Ronaldinho. They think that Fernandez was better. He is a strict coach, that I remember.

In retrospect, Israel's performance in qualifying certainly doesn't look too shabby - with Greece and Croatia both likely to advance to the quarterfinals. Maybe it wasn't such an easy group . . .
