Canada's taking it for sure! Why you ask? Well Canada beat Bangladesh in the last world cup. Bangladesh beat Australia in 2005. Therefore Canada is better than the current World Cup Champions, thus making me very condident that we'll win this year.

Not if they play as woefully as they have recently. Alright, time to go out on a limb and put my credibility on the line...

The serious contenders are Australia, South Africa, New Zealand, Sri Lanka... and suddenly out of the blue, England. Personally I think the winner will be either Australia or South Africa, and given lead-up form SA have a definite edge. IMO the others are a bit hot-and-cold to go the distance, although they're all capable of it if they get on a hot streak.

India, Pakistan and the West Indies are just uniformly abysmal in the LOI game at the moment, and the remainder are just making up the numbers (though I wouldn't rule out them getting some shock upsets).

Take that, cricketing gods. Now you're going to prove me wrong and hand the Windies the title. :D

I think england is missing just one killer bowler from the lineup.
the type of bowler who can really rip through a batting lineup.
    Shame simon jones aint available.

If shane Bond could bowl at the death he would be 1 of the greatest.
    We are missing a couple.

U've gone to the bonkers, my friend.West Indies, Pakistan and India are making up the numbers? India were 2003 finalists and I hate to admit that Pakistan are a good team. West Indies are in fine form.

the 2 drug cheats from pakistan have been pulled out of the squad with mystery injuries.
after the cricket authorities promised hardline drug measures in the tournie.

 I didn't say that at all. I said the other teams I hadn't mentioned are just making up the numbers.

The Windies, Pakistan and India are good sides, and are always dangerous, but even the most charitable observer wouldn't regard them as hot contenders at the moment. Pakistan maybe, I guess. Personally I just really don't see any of those teams having a decent tilt at the title, that's all.

    Time will tell I suppose.

So I just read another article about how someone from one of the top test nations is saying that the minnows don't belong at the World Cup. This is really starting to irratate me. Are they really afraid of having these teams there? How else are these nations supposed to improve, they already spend all their time playing against each other, and for one month every four years they get a chance to play against the big boys, and all the big boys say is that they don't belong.

Well yes special after SA were 91/8 against Ireland, and England were not much better in there warm up.

    Kids kids kids.

Y'know Australia are going to win. Don't they always? ;)

Don't let the (one) one day tournament cloud your judgement. What that tells me is that England aren't as crap at ODI's as they're made out to be, which I said some time ago. People are saying that Australia will miss Lee and NZ have Bond etc etc. I suggest those people check out some of the pitches. Gonna be a long long tourney for the quicks I imagine. :)

I wouldn't mind if we had any half-decent spinners.

Our problem isn't a weakened pace attack. It's the lack of any sort of decent bowling attack at all.

It's funny though, I've heard that before. Not sure if you're a betting man at all, but I'll lay odds that the most potent bowlers for Australia will be Bracken, Johnson, Hogg and to a lesser extent McGrath. A dark horse may be Stuart Clark. Not known for his flat track OD bowling but he will get plenty of Clark type assistance on these pitches. From a bounce and movement perspective on what I've seen so far Lee would be carted. Make no mistake about that. I'm of the opinion it could be a blessing in disguise.

Now this time to see, whether Australia make hattrick to win the world cup cricket 2007? Australian cricket is one the rise these days and one of the main reasons for this is their immense success on the cricket field.
But if look at the recently series which are held in Feb month then we got some different result in which NZ has beaten to Aus and India has beaten to shri lanka.
Only some hours are left to start world cup cricket 2007 and cricket lovers wait for that particular time when the world cup will start.
Let see who will be the winner of world cup 2007?
