I like Peter. I'll always remember the header he scored at Etihad to send Spurs to the CL. He also owns one of the best quotes, ever. When asked what he would be if he wasn't a footballer, he replied, "A virgin." And he has a super hot wife. And he does The Robot.
Put me down in the Crouch admirer camp. I think he is underutilized because he is a freak of nature (and I mean that in the nicest possible way). He's tall but not hugely strong. Good in the air but not great - better at knockdowns than bullet headers. Good with the ball at his feet, with accuracy but not a lot of power. High work rate, quick but not especially fast. He's a jack-of-all trades player but not exceptional at any one thing.
perfectly sums him up. i think his frame makes him look awkward when he plays which gives the impression he... well... isnt very good. fabulous ball control and footwork though. hes a very underrated player in my opinion, i would be biased though.
just seen we are also favourites to sign michael owen this summer too so he may well be over as well.
OK - now that this match is on the horizon, have we any word what type of squad Stoke will be bringing?
Big deal. I like Tony Pulis and all, but who really gives a shit about the clayheads? Nobody. And if they start singing Delilah I'll puke. It's proven that there's a lack of key chromosomes in the Potteries.
If you'll take the time to read over the first 150-some-odd posts, you'll find that your opinion is shared by many. So, as tactful as this was, it's simply redundant.
I have a feeling that its going to cost the Crew more $$ just in electric and water bills than they will make at the gate for this one. Just because your a Premier Team doesnt mean American soccer fans give a sh*t about you.
The Stoke game is "Special Game A", right? I thought I saw someone post that, but I'm too lazy to scroll/search right now. I blame the heat.
