Is there a trophy for the kirk urso memorial match? I am hoping that there is a bright side to losing the mickey mouse cup.
We just booked our Disney vacation for my wife and I and our kids. First one ever (as an adult for me, ever for our kids). So, I am sad to report that I have, in fact, been ********ed by Disney TWICE this week.
From what I saw, Viana and O'Rourke are not a good pairing. They were too flat and close to each other. Sanchez and Tchani were better together. Tchani was the only one that would push forward. The Crew need someone in that space so Higuain does not have to track back so far. Oduro did not seem to be on the same page yet. I would sit him for Finlay who was very aggressive and kept his wing back occupied. It was really interesting that Speas replaced Higuain. That looks like a nice fit for him.
That is because O'Rourke and anyone are not a good pairing. O'Rourke should not be playing here still.
With the perceived depth that we have at DM, does anyone think that O'Red will see a lot of playing time? If Viana and Sanchez are the quality that is purported, outside of our destined 1 USOC match and the friendlies, he may not see many meaningful minutes.
Danny shouldn't be paired with anyone; he's in his emeritus years with the Crew much like Duncan was for a while. Sanchez Tchani and Viana should always be ahead of him and I'll take George and giving Trapp minutes over him too. He's a plug in for midfield or the backline if things get really rough but other than that he's a practice player, assistant coach, sage of what it means to be Crew. I'm sure Danny could come in and play a great game here and there but I honestly don't want to see him anywhere for long stretches.
Are you kidding me? Danny O is our captain! Our Rock! and for the 40K we paid him per game played from 2009 to 2012, Danny's value can never be understated.

With 50 spots in total for each top 10, we have 2. There are 19 teams in the league, that means every team should have 2.6 players if everything was equal, which as we all know it is not. I would not say this is evidence that NBC does not think much of us, anymore that it means we have a terrible roster, and that we have been driven into the ground by the head coach. I am surprised we have any. Although I would not argue with the two we have listed. Surprised AG is not higher, and a little surprised Gaven is #2, although he is good enough.
To be sure I was being facetious, we still have left midfielders, central midfielders/holding midfielders, attacking midfielders, and strikers to go. Ironic that Gaven got the second spot on the right an he'll be deployed on the left, at least to start this year. I doubt we'll have anyone on the left mid or central midfield spots depending on how they categorize Higuain. On strikers I'll be surprised if Higuain is left off and I won't be surprised if that hurts Arrieta making the list. Which was my point about how they classify Higuain if they push him back to attacking mid then I could see both of them making it but I doubt they'll both make it in the same category.
It is so true. He has the benefit of having a good defense in front of him. If he played for TFC last year he would have been terrible. I terms of reflexes, positioning, physical skill, ability to organize his defense and distribution, I would put him in the top 10 maybe.
I dunno, TFC has two players in defensive positions in the top ten, and their keeper is listed too. obviously that just makes a mockery of the lists!
Surprised Chad didn't crack top 10 central defenders. I know he had a bit of a down year last year, but I'd still think he'd make top 10. Outside of that, not too much to gripe about.
Left Midfielders: 10. Dilly Duka (CHI) 9. Tony Cascio (COL) 8. Justin Mapp (MTL) 7. Steve Zakuani (SEA) 6. Camilo Sanvezzo (VAN) 5. Mike Magee (LAG) 4. Fabian Castillo (FCD) 3. Lee Nguyen (NER) 2. Chris Pontius (DCU) http://prosoccertalk.nbcsports.com/...-soccer-positional-top-tens-left-midfielders/ To no ones surprise none of our players merited a spot in the top ten left mids; though they did throw Dilly in there.
