exactly. I did not even see the original so was not going to pour scorn on a repost.

I had a post similar to KillerCanary's yesterday but deleted it and decided to let it go. Begging for rep is D.U.M., even if it is the reposting of hotties. Rep itself is dumb enough. He kind of mangled t he original quote too.

    Anyway, back on topic.

We've seen the starters start and go 60 in the first game, the reserves start and go 60 in the 2nd. Both of these games were against MLS competition. What happens in this 3rd game? I haven't seen any reports about it. As mentioned here before, depending on tiebreakers we may have already secured a spot in the championship game so the result doesn't matter as far as having a shot to play a last game. The opponent is also a lower division side. Is it all reserves again? If it were up to me, that's the way I would go.

I hope to see a half for each group. Give the starters more time to gel, and hopefully score a few confidence inducing goals from the run of play. If they perform well, take them off at half or sub some at 30, and let the reserves rack up a few more Finle(a)y goals in the second half.

Then when we are playing for the chrome Mickey ears, let the starts go nearly a full match.

Also, on my earlier post, I was just having fun. I didn't mean for the tone to be so harsh. Should probably reread before spouting off.

Remember, brevity is the soul of wit. A long post always looks like a rant--even if it is not.

There I'm not *trying* to be funny. Long posts have their place. Making a quick crack or joke about a post is not one of them.

    Yes, pour form.

Is that a veiled allusion to drinking?

I agree rep is dumb and was not begging for rep. Could care less about it. I was just surprised that my joke got zero response, re-pleat with requisite hotties. Honestly thought it might have been overrun with preseason play-by-play because that kind of thing rarely goes quietly on this board. Whatever. But now I'm curious, what about the original quote was mangled?

Games vs Sporting KC this morning and then tonight vs Orlando City. Regular season gets closer everyday, gotta keep fine tuning. #crew96

Double dose of massive today. Did anyone else know we had a game vs. SKC?

Jardy just tweeted the game is at 11. Also, it was going to be mostly reserves. Maybe trying to nail down the last few roster spots.

I really wish there was a way to see some highlights of the last two games. Nine freaking goals!

Anyone know a link to watch the whole Crew-Philly match? I couldn't find anything on the official site.

They've been putting the tournament games on youtube, but the Philly game doesn't seem to be up yet. I would keep checking there, though. I don't think the games will show up the mls site.

If I'm looking at the right numbers, it looks like maybe we've clinched a spot in the final vs Montreal, regardless of the result of tonight's game.

The Crew just tweeted the following:

Starting XI: Gruenebaum, Williams, Marshall, Glauber, Wahl; Oduro, Viana, Sanchez, Gaven; Higuain, Arrieta

Pretty much the expected 11. It'd be nice to see a consistent starting lineup this season. Let's hope these guys can stay healthy.

That seems to me to be the best starting 11 we have. It comes down to if Viana is better in the middle, or at LB. As long as Wahl can keep pulling his weight, which he has so far this preseason, we should be pretty set with the back 4. The only position battle I can really see happening this year is with Oduro. Speas and Finlay both will be fighting for starting minutes, and the way Finlay has been playing this preseason, I wouldn't be surprised to see him get some minutes on the wing this year.
