I was thinking yesterday about the financial problems facing AC St Louis, and was wondering how to keep the team alive and still maintain the MLS dream, when it hit me: AC St Louis Supporters Trust. Now I live in Indiana, but St Louis is a favorite city of mine, and I fully support all things St Louis Soccer, so I have no idea if this would even work or how to organize it. But surely there are enough fans of soccer in St Louis to form a trust and buy a share of the team from Cooper or whoever those english dudes are. I know its a long shot, but maybe, just maybe, it could work. Sound off
I live nowhere near St. Louis and have only been there once. However, I never want to see anyone lose a team, especially when the fan support is there. I'd gladly send along a small donation to the cause. The biggest thing that can be done at this point is for the fans to keep coming out to games and bringing along friends. You have to be able to convince whatever investors who might be watching the situation from the shadows that having a team in St. Louis is viable and that spectators will actually come to matches. Saying there are a lot of fans who won't come because of a bad balance sheet or you're in the wrong league doesn't impress people who are used to only looking at the bottom line on a balance sheet. Good luck with keeping things alive, we're pulling for you here in Baltimore, just not when we see you on the field
