    COSTA RICA v ARGENTINA
International soccer friendly live on Pay-per-view

HOBOKEN, NJ---FIFA World Player of the Year Lionel Messi will lead Argentina in a friendly against one of the top teams in CONCACAF, Costa Rica, when the two sides match up at the brand new Costa Rica’s Estadio Nacional on March 29 (10pm ET/7pm PT). The game will be distributed live on pay-per-view by Integrated Sports Media and will be carried on iN Demand, DirecTV, Dish Network and TVN for a suggested retail price of $29.95.

Two time World Cup winners Argentina are coming off a quarterfinal appearance at the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa. They are coached by Sergio Batista, who replaced the legendary Diego Maradona behind the Argentine bench after the World Cup. Since Batista was appointed, first as temporary manager, and finally as the permanent coach, the Argentines have racked up wins over Ireland, World Cup holders Spain and South American power Brazil, with Messi scoring the only goal in a 1-0 victory.

Messi is coming off a spectacular 2010 season that saw him win his second straight FIFA World Player of the Year award. The 23-year-old forward scored 58 goals in 54 games for Barcelona in 2010, helping them to retain the Spanish league title. He had two goals in 10 matches with Argentina but failed to score at the World Cup.

Costa Rica just finished as the runner-up for the CONCACAF Central American championship, falling to Honduras 2-1 on Sunday after playing the last 27 minutes down a man. It was the first time in 22 matches at the Centroamericana that Costa Rica surrendered more than one goal. The Ticos will be one of the four Central American qualifiers for this year’s Gold Cup. Costa Rica is coached by Argentine Ricardo La Volpe, the former coach of Mexico’s National Team. Recent lineups have included a number of players from Major League Soccer, including Real Salt Lake scoring leader Alvaro Saborio.
