Seeing Cantona turn up at a high school field in New Jersey for a PDL game would be a sight to behold
Kemsely echoed that recently in a video from MLS. He was at a Vancouver game, and mentioned Cantona is currently on site for training the under 23 team.
Well for their academy they took over BW Gottschee soccer club. This club has an existing U23 team and an adult team. So I would imagine that their team this year will be a mixture of players from the youth team (mostly from U18/19), U23 and Open and some college players that they may have recruited. With playing just an exhibition schedule and the short start up time, I imagine they will go with what they have in house.

So here's an annoucement on where they are playing and where their players are coming from. It says NYFC...is that a misprint on the schedule? and furthermore, why are they playing their home game at Adelphi instead of St.Johns??
The Cosmos will play an exhibition schedule against some local teams, so the FCNY game makes sense Maybe St Johns is already booked for that day

Good question. Seeing that they list the Jersey Express incorrectly as "NJ Express", I figured that "NYFC" is meant to indicate FCNY. I called FCNY's offices to check on this. The person who answered the phone said that FCNY are not playing any friendly match on June 22. I then called the Cosmos' offices. The person whom I spoke to took my name and number, and said that someone would call me back. So, stay tuned. I will update when/if someone returns my call.
Someone from the Cosmos' offices called me back. He said that the opposition will be the FCNY reserve team. (Of course, this doesn't explain why the person at FCNY's offices didn't know about the match. But, at least the Cosmos' offices are on top of things.)
