He came on in the second half of the 3-0 Juve game a few weeks ago and he was pretty bad at LB, his crossing was attrocious (I think he came on at 2-0). Hopefully he does better tonight.
He played at the weekend so I doubt it. I thought this for a week or so now and it looks like Rudi also believes that this is our strongest midfield for a game like this.
No excuse to not win this one with that starting 11 for Juve. Conte clearly wouldn't be upset to drop out of this competition. I agree with the idea of putting as much grinta into the midfield as you have available for this one. I just wonder at the same time if Pjanic has even the smallest feeling that he's not 100% or maybe Rudi is worried about Chiellini finishing what he started.
Bitchy move by Conte to rotate a lot of his squad. He can't lose this way. If we win, they'll just say "we played with 2nd string players". And if somehow they win, well, I don't even wanna think about that.
Against Juve's starting midfield I could see why dropping Pjanic works. Not that Im bothered Nianggolan starts but I wouldnt worry if Pjanic was starting today. Pirlo should get bossed out of it today though with that line up, he should have no time or space
