THIS is why we got Elia! He is a very dangerous player when he's given the chance.

Very good point. Some of these guys have played very little so far. Others have only really been playing in practice.

Was that Elia playing defense! Looks like he got the memo about why he wasn't getting first team time.

I've seen him hustling back a lot, trying to get back possession. That's what Conte wants to see.

Giach should never play left wing again...central is clearly where he's comfortable. elia's really getting into the game now.

He just made another great defensive play... wow, I wasn't impressed when he first stepped on but he's been pretty awesome. Wonder if we'll see him in a league game soon

[LINEUP-4-5-1]Matri, Elia, Pepe, Marchisio, Pirlo,Vidal, Chiellini, Bonucci, Barzagli, Lichsteiner, Buffon[/LINEUP-4-5-1]
Maybe? With Elia and Pepe obviously playing a little higher up as wingers

I just want to give him a chance because we spent 9M on him. So far this season, he's played 45 minutes. Cmon! That's a bit ridiculous. I know, we've been playing well and I can't knock Conte's tactics. But, I would like to see him at least make some substitute appearances from here on out. He's shown what he can do.

Very impressed with how Elia grew into the game. It was unexpected because he's seen such little playing time. Could have had three assists on the night and he worked very hard. Perhaps this is a bit rash, but based on that performance alone I'd prefer him to get some minutes instead of Milos.

Also, credit to Giaccherini. Great game from him.

although he scored a nice goal, i still dont like giacherrini. i prefer our other options instead of him, he's not as fast i like him to be and his shots are like either way off or directly at the keeper.

Remember this was only bologna B team, bottom table serie A team....i doubt he can do this stuff with better teams and especially not next year if were gonna be in CL

He is a hard worker like Pepe, and Conte likes these kind of players. He gets back when he loses the ball.something, Krasic has not yet learned it.

Really, some of you are making a fuss about Elia and completely ignoring the way Marchisio scored his goal? And what about Giaccherrini's run. I think some of you wear blinders when you watch the game.

If you look back, I think a lot of people said great things about Marchisio, Elia and Giaccherrini.
