    They don't have an airport??

My dad visited there a few years ago and I'm pretty sure he flew in cuz he doesn't like traveling by bus.

Juliaca is IN Puno the Province and very close to Puno the city. Why have 2 airports?

I always thought Puno was the largest city of the region, turns out its not

thats probably why Juliaca has the airport and not Puno

Did you feel the altitude? While Cuzco is 3.399 m, Puno sits on an amazing 3.830 m of altitude. That's even more than La Paz that has 3.640 m.

Hope a team from Puno makes it to Primera!

I remember when Alianza Unicachi was close to first division a few years ago, most teams were dreading the possibility because it adds to their budget :D se pasan!

    true...

here are the ones that made it through:

Sporting Pizarro (Tumbes) vs Alfred Nobel (Tumbes) or UTC (Cajamarca)
Defensor San Alejandro (Ucayali) vs Alianza Cristiana (Iquitos)
Defensor Zarumilla (Ica) vs Sport Victoria (Ica)
Alfonso Ugarte (Puno) vs Deportivo Binacional (Puno)

    no teams from Lima
