Defensor is playing a great game. They sure know where to put bodies. Very organized. Strongest is playing scrappy. No rhythm. Hoping for a better second half.
I'm not sure Defensor is playing that well, it's just that The Strongest attackers are inept. They have the speed, but no precision on the passes, no new ideas on attack. They look horrible! They need at least a goal to have some hope.
Gooooool, now they need to press the even more, they are clearly tired and ready for the game to end. Strongest just doesn't have the clarity that Bolivar showed yesterday in attack.
Asi se hace papa. Finally some clarity on attack, what a rocket from Castro. Now they got to keep pressing them!
BTW Chuma is playing like crap, no first touch, probably only completes about 40% of his passes! at least he still runs.
Yeah. I noticed that. Passes and shots are off today. He's typically always on his game. Hope he's back for round 2.
I don't think he has been the same since he came back, what do you think? They better wake up Defensor is looking dangerous
Very true. Just seemed like most of his passes were off today. Strong week for Bolivian soccer! Love it!
Woah what a game. We played with balls more than nothing. A couple of things. Chuma is sucking lately, I think Veizaga has to take his place until he recovers his class. Castro is a great player, great shot and goal. Soliz is also class, first couple of minutes were all him. Vaca and Escobar are amazing Lopez has to go, he's too clumsy, most of the attacks came through him. Reynoso has some skills, he does not play well as a lonely forward, his game was much better once Melgar came in. I hope Alfaro is back for the other game.
Not very good. Lost a lot of balls, had to be replaced for Jair Torrico, who didn't play so bad. (his level has decreased lately)
About Chumacero, I agree with everyone. I think he got messed up in Brazil and he is just not the same explosive yet creative mid he used to be. I did not even see him running like he used to. Amazing what a crappy environment can do to a player's confidence. Bummer.
He was awful. First touch was horrible, lost so many balls, ran around clueless. The quality of the game itself was poor and he was the worst player on the pitch. He would have been better served enjoying the game from the bench. The contrast from his level of play before he went to Brasil to now is night and day. He never got a chance at Recife. I don't understand why these guys continue to head abroad to these terrible situations that do nothing for their careers. They go to bottom table teams or no name leagues or both. Did Jhasmani really think his career would get a boost by playing on one of the worst teams in the Qatari league playing in empty stadiums. Anyway, back to the game. It sucked. Period. Strongest is very lucky they got matched up with an equally pedestrian team. Outside of Escobar they have no one who can make a difference. I have a feeling Strongest goes through to the next round and Bolivar gets knocked off in La Paz. Ironic because Bolivar is clearly the much stronger team.
Bolivar started off the wrong way, even before the gol they were playing like they don't want it. Their play has improved a bit but defense still looks weak and the damage is done.
Passed are really imprecise, seems like the weekend game was too much...should've started the b team in that game
Wide open game, that Arizala is a dangerous Sob. Bolivar needs to score, Leon is not as threatening as they were when the game started.
