Nosotros participamos.... En la Libertadores del 1997... ...

Y vamos pa' la Sudamericana de este año....

Sera peor dejarse remontar un 3-0 o perder los dos juegos con un rival boliviano?

I like Bolivar's chances vs. a Brasilian Rival. We always play better vs. them than an Argentine Rival.

Having faith for the next round......

Your opponent will probably be Corinthians. The only team who can take Corinthians’ 2nd overall rank is Atlético Nacional, who visits Santiago to face Universidade de Chile. This will be a contested match, and as we know, Universidade is a very tough team. I really do regret that as good as they are, that the 2012 version isn’t the team we saw in the Copa Sul-Americana of 2011. They were a force to be reckoned with, and while Atlético Nacional is a good team too, I put my money on Universidade to win tonight.

This also assumes Internacional defeats João Aurich in Peru, which I think is what will happen.

So...Lanus has sold its soul to the devil.

Should make things fun, though. One thing for sure, with Teo in the game there's never a dull moment.

Could have 5 Brazilian teams in the quarterfinals. Doesn't look like any of them will play each other in the Octavos de final.

sin duda algun es peor dejarse remontar un 3-0 cuando ya habian sacado propaganda de campeones.

The pairing system for octavos in Copa Libertadores is the best in the world.

It forces teams to give up to their last effort up to the last minute, nothing is established until the last group game ends, and is not predictable at all, it doesn't give any unfair advantage.

    I'm loving this edition BTW.

You would think so, but in reality some teams just pissed away their last group match. Velez Sarsfield did at least.

If things stay as they are, Atletico Nacional will play U de Chile 2 more times which is the big flaw in this format.

Edit: goool U de Chile. Beauty of a header by OGonzalez. Back on top of the group.

Inter messed up any chance of that by losing in Peru.

Que peligroso Pabon. De todas formas gran triunfo de la U, costo pero so logro. Estoy seguro que con los jugadores titulares de vuelta no nos costara tanto, ni menos vs Quito.
