I thought I'd post this up, and to say probably goodbye to Pena. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eoG5TtEupAQ"]YouTube - Juan Manuel Peña en la Champions League[/ame] A cool video and highlight of his time playing and mostly of the time spent with villarreal when he was starting most if not all the games during their best ever yeari n the champions league, where they almost made it to the final. (god damn riquelme!!!). We will lose a great defender not just for bolivia, but for south america when he retires. His class still oozes as he showed when he played limited time with DC United when not hurt. At 37 he can't play anymore as much as he could because of injury.... but still a hell of a player.
He really was Class. I think Raldes is just like, or maybe even better than Pena, but he just hasn't gotten the shot in Europe. Still both Raldes and Pena= CLASSY defenders.
Yea, I'd say Raldes when he was at his peak with Rosario was just as good, if not better. The reason he didnt get his shot, was because of Rosario screwing him. He had a chance to go to Boca, which many players use as a springboard to europe. He didnt get that chance.... Rosario screwed him over, and never told him about the interest.
