Of course he wouldn't say this but, I definitely think that it could be damaging in the long run that he doesn't consistently play in the CM role. Claudio is a central midfielder and that is what he should be playing. Hopefully, we wrap up a deal for Bastos or Vargas so that he can play exclusively in the center.

Check the Pre-season thread - I listed the starting XIs for each half and who scored.

Sorry if it's been stated before, but what sort of system does Conte like to run?

4-4-2 thats more of a 4-2-4 is what has historically been his most used, but we still dont know for sure what he will use here, most suspect that tho.

I can confirm that it is going to be a 4-2-4 because that is what they were working on in the scrimmage at the end of practice.

Giandonato and yes Pirlo was playing. He looks good and we'll see the difference that he brings this year.

How were you able to watch it? I plan on going over on Sunday morning and see if I can peer through the hedges and take some pictures.

My friend bid 1500 on a package deal for charity and originally we were supposed to eat dinner with the team also but that got nixed because it was last minute so they gave him a half price discount at 750 for 15 people. I'd say go down there and hope alot of people show up and make noise because they ended up letting about 30 extra people in last night for the last half hour. If not try the Four Seasons. Either around 12:00 or a little before 8:30.

what do you guys think are the chances of conte giving playing time to these youngsters; BONIPERTI, GIANETTI, GIANDONATO ?

I want to see them thrown in the mix quite often, not just once or twice all season...u gotta slowly break them in

How was Conte with youngsters at Bari and Siena? I know, different circumstances but if he showed trust with those two clubs, maybe a chance with Juve.

Lets just say I got a sense last night that he likes and trusts Giandonato and I would not be suprised if he makes the team. And Sorensen is ahead of Bonucci who is now 4th choice.

I don't think anyone here thought otherwise regarding Bonucci. The only way he's not a starter is if he's sold (for some reason) or Juve got an amazing deal on a top rated CB.

I don't see Sorensen starting ahead of Bonucci, or Barzagli being placed ahead of Bonucci in the CB pecking order.

He could be right because last night Chiellini and Barzagli were first choice and its was obvious that Conte does not like Bonucci while he had plenty of praise for Sorensen.

cause his potential is higher than Bonucci's, he's younger and already proved he can start for this team. slotting into the center where he is most comfortable will only make him better and the preaseason should prepare him well enough for the season ahead. i don't see why not...

ya some people judge preseason too much, i dont think bonnuci will be bench, if anything 2nd choice, i doubt he'll be 4th
