I still see no logical reason to imply Forest were a defensive team who "parked the bus" and played on the break. Forest always had a reputation as a decent attacking team who played the ball on the floor and pretty much had a reputation for playing the game "as it should be played". Oddly I saw the Villa game on tv the other day, and while they were fortunate to get the win, they didn't really look particularly defensive in their approach to the game. They were just outplayed, and got lucky, taking their best chance when Bayern's were all either saved, spurned or offside. That's football.
My point is that City doesn't necessarily have bragging rights over Chelsea. The point of bragging rights is to shut up the other fans. City can shut up the rest of England with their Barclay's trophy. But if they shove it in Chelsea's face, Chelsea can respond with the European Cup.
The number of people in England that think Chelsea are better than Man City is a single digit figure ... And they're all Chelsea fans.
very true... I think even Abrahamovic is please with Chelsea winning the cup after a LOOOONG wait and BIIIIG investment, but deep down I don;t think he is HAPPY with the way they play ...
I agree with this, I definitely noticed that Abrahmovic wasn't as excited and jubilant as you'd expect after winning the trophy he's craved for so long.
There's also the fact that he's NOTORIOUSLY reticent and never gives public speeches. Or it shows how bad of a job AVB did and that Chelsea stopped trying as hard in the league after making the CL semis (starting a mostly B squad against Arsenal, leaving some starts on the bench against Newcastle, etc.).
