And that's the year. It was fun to see them beat RSL anyway.

... and without either high seed even hosting a game, we already know who's in the final. I hate the aggregate system. This is a stupid way to run a playoffs.

And Seattle continues to show they aren't a good playoff team only a great regular season team.

It's more like Sigi strategy backfired.

well he doesn't have much of a strategy with that line up not with rosales not playing johnson on the bench and burch suspended and god knows what other issue. Frankly i gave sigi 4 years to come out with a way to get us to the cup final and guess what we aren't any better than the first year in terms of playoffs.

Rosales is always injured not sure he deserves that dp slot. Sounders need to go find a better playmaker.

On the bright side we won't have to worry about all the extra games that come with the champions league at the end of next year

With the new format it wouldn't had really mattered if we played 4 additional games or not. Until Seattle figures out how to play great defense and actually score more goals in playoffs it doesn't matter.

That was a pathetic display. LA came out to play we didn't they deserved to win by the score they did.....only positive thing is that we weren't punish even more I guess besides that we have some climbing to do at home if we wanna have a chance at all. Very poor match from us.

    Rosales is the man.

But he is injury prone....and it's becoming an issue. I've been having second thoughts as well.

Well if we didn't make him DP and he goes somewhere else people would be screaming at AH for screwing it up.

*sigh* The good news is that the Science channel is having a Firefly marathon... The bad news is that I stopped watching it to watch the Sounders game... *sigh* oh we'll.. As Sounders78 said, we get to see what happens next season without CCL at the end of the season.

That depends if the Sounders can get a better footballer than Rosales.

I would love to be proven wrong, but next Sunday is dead man walking.

And I would be remiss not to point out LA ripped our left side to shreds, which was manned by Scott and Caskey who probably don't make the 18 on most MLS rosters. I know injuries were the bulk if not all the reason for it, but we started 2 guys who had no business starting in the playoffs.

Have no business starting in the regular season. As soon as Montero got subbed we were doomed. Sigi made his bed, shit in that bed, and still decided to keep laying in it.

Seattle played RSL who had a even much harder time scoring than we did. We just lucked out.

This is what I'm still pondering. All I can come up with is that he was hoping for a 0-0 result or a 1-0 loss. There was no way on earth we had a chance at scoring a goal with the lineup he put out there. Playing a 4-5-1, with Montero up top, then launching crosses to him, hoping he could get his head on it - despite having Gonzalez, a good 7 inches taller than him, playing central defense. Tiffert was pretty much non-existent and I'm still not sure what Caskey did out there. Then, when we go down a second goal, take out Montero and replace him with Johnson and stick with the 4-5-1 .

I rarely put full blame on the coach - but tonight he made poor decision after poor decision.
