    Why can't CONCACAF streamline the presentation of the CCL so that it looks the same on all channels that it is on? It looks different on Telefutura, FSC, Telemundo etc.

    UEFA Champions League looks uniform wherever it is, you know what tournament it is as soon as you turn it on (with the theme song, logo etc). How hard can this be to do? Why not make the attempt to give it some level of prestige? Seriously, the random rock track that they play on FSC makes it seem like a friendly match or something.

    I think concacaf is just happy that the games are on TV, I do not think they are in a position to demand things from the TV networks.

    Maybe in the future if the tournament becomes popular they can start doing what you ask.

    I agree with you 100%. I've seen the ESPN Mexico, Univision Networks and Fox intros/theme music. I prefer Univision's. It sounds somewhat prestigious.

    Let's post the different intros/themes/graphics etc. of all the CCL TV broadcasts, then vote on which one should be used by all networks. It'd be smart if all the networks can get together and synergize on this.

    They should:

    -make same graphics on all TV stations
    -make one and only introducing song
    -make matches played only on Tuesday and Wednesday
    -matches in same group are played simultaneously, especial on last matchday
    -make money for reaching specific stages, and award group wins with money
    -make better marketing for that competition across whole continent

    If so, Americans can start take this competition serious.

    I agree with this.

    -Nah, the matches should be spread out as much as possible on Tue, Wed and Thur. There should be 2 time slots per night so there is more football to watch.

    -Nah, the matches shouldn't be played simultaneously for the reasons I've said before: more football for us all to watch.

    -Yes, there should be money per win. The group winners should be able to choose who they want to face in the quarterfinals. Group winner with most points gets 1st pick, group winner with 2nd most points gets 2nd pick, and so on.

    -USAns should take it seriously because it's the continental championship. If not, then they should withdraw and publicly state why. Nonetheless, "taking it seriously" is no excuse for their results so far.

    Which "Americans" are you talking about? Because the general US public doesn't even take MLS seriously...

    But as far as presentation is concerned, my pet peeve #1 is the ridiculous number and occasion of replays.

    It can be made in way that group A matches are played at 18:00, and group B matches at 20:00. There you are able to watch two matches, and chose what matches to watch.

    At least last match-day...

    Dont agree with picks... Best 1st should play vs worst 2nd, second best 1st vs second worst 2nd etc.

    Money should be like $ 100k for win, half for draw; $ 200k for reaching quarters (for losers in that wound), $ 400k for semifinalist, $ 600k for runner-up and $ 1M for winner.

    Total money:
    group stage = 48 matches X $ 100k = $ 4,8M
    quarterfinal = 4 X $ 200k = $ 800k
    semifinal = 2 X $ 400k = $ 800k
    runner up = $ 600k
    winner = $ 1M

    TOTAL = $ 8,000.000

    Agree 100%. Sending half of the first team to international, top continental cup is sad and ridiculous.

    By Americans, I meant on MLS teams, not on Americans as residents of USA. Although many of them (residents) dont have idea and dont know real meaning of continental cup, as there is no continental cups in other, American sports... hockey, basketball, NFL, MLB etc. Sad, but true.

    And for other part of your post - true. It is just awful.

    It's not that easy. they have to take into account the teams' league schedules, time zone, and they don't want teams from the same league playing simultaneously.

    Nope. That would only fill 4 slots. We want all 6 time slots filled.

    You see the problem with that is that sometimes the worst #2 team is better than their record indicates, for various reasons. Injuries, fixture congestion, etc.

    There have been tourneys where teams lose purposely to avoid a last-seeded team, because the last-seeded team is better that the alternative. Having the #1 seed get 1st pick will add a whole new strategy for coaches as they prepare for the KO rounds.
