We do not know what prime Lennox Lewis would do to Vitali. Prime Lewis got starched by Rahman and McCall.
Secondly, despite "Vitaly's face", Lennox was actually losing that fight on all three cards - 58-56. Lennox was pretty much spent. I am not doubting the veracity of the referee decision - Vitali's vision was clearly obstructed, so the Lennox's victory was correct. I am just pointing out that Vitali was winning.

Except, of course, a fully sold-out arena, right?

Well judging from what a fat past his prime Lewish did I can only imagine...

Lewis didn't take those fights seriously, look at the Rahman rematch when he actually gave a shit. He'd make mince meat out of Vitaly (uhh he kind of did, literally) and Vlad's dirty tactics wouldn't work on a man of Lewis' size.

Dima is sooo desperate hahaha good god. If only Klitschko's were Russian he'd be full of pride for these legendary champions, not full of jealousy

Lol Klitschko was beating Lewis up with one eye for most of the fight. Are you kidding me. Lewis was a shitty champ. He got beat by Oliver ********in McCall and Rahman lol. And he barely beat Holyfield.
If it wasn't for that cut and the fact that Lewis ran away into retirement, Vitaliy would beat his ass in the rematch just like he was beating his ass in the beginning of the fight.

Lennox was awesome but he was kinda lazy. Vitaliy was more professional. Impossible to say who was better, they were two of the most dominant champs ever. Lennox slightly better skill but with a weaker chin. A shame we only got to see them fight 5 rounds. The last true heavyweight mega fight.

Jealous? Klitschko fights out of Germany dude. If anything you're desperate to c;aim a guy who has nothing to do with Ukraine apart from his ethnicity.

How is the same thing? Ovechkin has far strongr ties to Russia than Vlad to Ukraine.

Were Russians claiming Kostya Tszu? nah, because he fought out of Aussie-land. And believe me he was a real warrior unlike Vlad "the cancer of Bozing" Klitschko.

It's not either Klitschko's fault that they're big and strong and no one can beat them. Boring..yeah, very boring, but effective, and that's kind of the point.

What you are saying is harsh, but I kind of agree with the fact that they killed the heavy weight division.

Good thing we've had Manny and Floyd since the Americans tuned out of heavyweight boxing.

I stopped watching their fights since Vitali beat that big Mexican guy, Chris Orreola.

The problem with them, is they're so squeaky clean and "respectable", that there's no excitement.

Nobody really cares about them as individuals, cuz they don't market themselves as bad boys, and they're really poor at hyping fights.

So one should only care to watch bad boys? I, for one, do no care what kind of a persona they carry. I want to see boxing and, hopefully, another win.

You don't, but you're in the minority. The Germans clearly like the Klitschko's brothers, but they're a bit wierd.

American's and the rest of the world want showmen, not just fighters. Hense the insane popularity of Floyd Mayweather Jr, even though he is technically a defensive fighter and not a slugger at all.

Vitali and Wlad don't talk shit, and neither did Fedor in the MMA, and that was their downfall. People expect boxers to be larger than life characters as well, because that's what it takes to draw in crowds.

You want to see a bad guy get beaten up for talking too much shit, and that's what explains the draw. Can't have goodie-two shoes everywhere.

And here I am mistakenly thinking that wins matter in boxing. I mean that is not WWE where they judge personality, etc.

How you win is equally important in boxing in terms of attracting fans. Technical fighters bore fans, whereas knockout artists sell and draw crowds. It's not a team sport, therefore the boxer himself has to sell.

Someone like Mohammed Ali would never have been remembered in the same terms had it not been for his loud mouth.

Look at GSP in the UFC. Clean technical fighter, great champion, etc, gets booed by the crowds for grinding out technical wins.

Whether or not crowds boo - they come. Wlad has sold out stadiums/arenas in US, Germany, Switzerland, Russia over the last 9 years.

Too make matters worse, Vasyl Lomachenko was robbed of a world title tonight.

Next superstar of boxing disrespected, Dnipro's heroic win over Tottenham disrespected. Topple a corrupt gov't and regain power for themselves, Russia invades. All within a week.

Bad luck Ukraine. Nothing but misery and pain.

Why do you have to contextualize everything within a Russian vs. Ukrainian paradigm? Every time you mention anything about Ukraine it's always under the condition..."well Russia is better at this...he/she/it isn't truly Ukrainian...Gogol...Gogol...Gogol." You live in fvcking Chicago let that shit go.
