Aver como creas que seria nuestro equipo si hubieramos clasificados?

Ami me parece que la convocatoria debiara aver sido algo asi:

    Goalkeeper:
    David Ospina (Nice) 23
    Cristian Bonilla (Boyaca Chico) 20

    Defenders:
    Bernando Espinosa (Racing) 22
    Pedro Franco (Millonarios) 20
    Santiago Arias (SCP) 20
    Pablo Armero (Udinese) 26
    Hector Quinonez (Cali) 20
    Oscar Murillo (Nacional) 23
    Yamith Cuesta (Conquense) 22

    Midfielders:
    James Rodriguez (Porto) 20
    Juan Guillermo Cuadrado (Lecce) 23
    Carlos Sanchez (Valenciennes) 26
    Dorlan Pabon (Nacional) 23
    Michael Ortega (Leverkusen) 20
    Victor Ibarbo (Cagliari) 21
    Marco Perez (Belgrano)21
    Juan Mahecha (Chico) 23

    Forwards:
    Radamel Falcao (Madrid) 26
    Luis Muriel (Lecce) 20
    Humberto Osorio (Millonarios) 23
    Darwin Quintero (Santos Laguna) 23
    Fernando Uribe (Chievo) 21

With this team we could of fielded something like this...

    ---------------Ospina---------------
    Arias--Franco--Bernando--Armero
    ---------------Sanchez--------------
    Cuadrado------Ortega--------Pabon
    -----------------James---------------
    -----------------Falcao----------------

We could of probably gotten to at least the semifinal :(

Probably best Olympic team we'd ever have, what injustice....

Nope. Every player must be born after 1/1/89 with the exception of 3.

Also could have used: Leiton Jimenez, David Alvarez, Yerson Candelo, Eder Castaneda, Hugo Acosta, Fabra, Carlos Robles, Luis Mosquera, Vlad Hernandez, Micolta, John Cordoba, Cardona

Thank Lara for another wasted generation of talent.

I like your starting 11 and the formation

    ---------------Ospina---------------
    Arias--Franco--Bernando/Murillo--Armero
    ---------------Sanchez--------------
    Cuadrado------Ortega--------Pabon
    -----------------James---------------
    -----------------Falcao----------------

    or 4-4-2 Diamond

    ---------------Ospina---------------
    Arias--Franco--Bernando/Murillo--Armero
    ---------------Sanchez--------------
    Cuadrado/Pabon-------------------------Pabon/James
    -----------------James/Ortega---------------
    ----------Muriel/Pabon-------Falcao----------------

Def a team that can win the Olympics too bad in South America they don't actually have qualifiers for it. I think our 2005 sub 20 team when they were U-23 would have been better

    ---------------Ospina----------------
    Zuniga----Zapata---Yepes----Cassiera
    Guarin---Abel Aguilar/Toja---Jairo Palomino---Marrugo/Macnelly/Soto
    -------Pino/Wason------Falcao/Roda/JPA

I don't know why the hell they changed it. What sense does it make to qualify to a tournament with a group of players who, for the most part, wouldn't play in it?

    The preolimpico was awesome.

It was just easier for the CONMEBOL (and lazier) to use the Sudamericano Sub 20 as a double dip.

For the most part I see why they did it since the very best players at that age group are in Europe and the Club teams don't want to give them up for something as silly as Olympic qualifying.

Basically to me the region got more competitive and letting the sub 20 tournie will make it so the big 3 in SA will mostly always qualify for the Olympics if you make it best 2-3 in sub 20 as Arg and Brazil almost always win. This changed after we won the sudamericana which sucks. I think our sub 23 in the last Olympics was way better than any other NT in South America because it was 90% of our actual NT:D
