hah. see, i actually thought this was a step down from the first episode, not that the first episode was very good. i didn't like how abed, and i think jeff did something like it as well, referenced the show. i think abed said while he was watching the security cams, "this used to be a show about a community college," or something like that. have i missed those types of comments in previous seasons?
I believe that is almost word for word a comment made by Chevy Chase in an interview that came towards the end of the Harmon era.
Thought this was a step back from last week, but I did get a chuckle out of the American "Inspector Space-Time" remake with Luke Perry and Jennie Garth.
I thought it had great potential when Britta left Troy's room through the window...that was a great scene. It went downhill from there. This Troy/Abed relationship gives me the creeps a bit.
Season has more or less panned out as I had expected/feared. I'm not going to blame the new showrunners too much as it's a nightmare to replace a guy like Harmon.

I appreciate having someone shave for me, but there better be a hot towel and straight blade. That was disappointing to me. As I type this, I remember very little of the episode other than how they were being shaved in the barber's area. I'm gradually remembering the main plot as I type this and remembering it had a decent resolution, but it's funny how afterward it was forgettable to me.
Love this episode, glad they gave Ahbed a broad. And anyone catch the possible symbolism to Pierce's shirt? hmm...
Don't know why people haven't commented but the last episode was great. I think the best so far this season. It was the funniest especially when Britta was going to talk to the crowd. Great appearance by Brie Larson too. And it had a sweet end. I loved the whole Sophie B Hawkins thing and the Damn I wish I was your lover thing brought back a lot of memories (weird how a song becomes nostalgic even if you don't like it) but I had totally forgotten about the song "As I lay Me Down " completely. And Abed wh is right, it is the better song. The ending ended being a moment for me which is nice sign about how the season has improved in my eyes. The only problem is that I'm not feeling the whole "Changnesia" thing AT ALL. Still even when they have slips, it's better than many successes from other shows.
I want to quote and rep this a thousandy - millionith times. And great-gosh-guhbodkins that young Brie woman is dreamy.
