I found it heavy on the deconstruction of sitcom tropes as well, especially in the "Troy & Britta at the restaurant" bits.
Normally not a big fan of this type of fan-vid, but I thought it was worthwhile posting just because it had so many shots from scenes I had all but forgotten about already. I think a reviewing of the first season might be in order soon! [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ezl4QSbMyk0"]Community - Annie - Folding Chair - YouTube[/ame]

What a completely solid episode, sometimes one character just doesn't fit with the story but tonight everyone just clicked.
That very question was in my head while I watched her dance last night. I hadn't seen all of those. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6JBmAAXlAZ8"]Alison Brie and The Girls performing Childish Gambino - YouTube[/ame]
That episode was spectacular. They got the L&O formula perfect, down to every last detail -- the dialogue, the camera angles, the tone, everything. I think that was one of my favorite Community episodes ever. Definitely top 5.
Loved this episode, and it's up there with respect to all-time best episodes for this series, but the Ken Burns doc episode still is tops for me.
There were times I felt bad for Troy in their ongoing Troy vs Abed relationship. The opening scene on L&O normally has random people going about their normal life finding a crime scene. When the detectives get there the scene ends with a sarcastic quip. Abed wouldn't let Troy have the last comment. Likewise, Abed wouldn't let Troy have the traditional "Why do they always run?" line. Those moments rubbed me the wrong way in light of much of this season. The non-Miranda rights were great though as was post-interrogation when they were talking to Shirley and there was no soundproof window, but a fish tank so they could be heard and seen.
Is Dino Stamatopoulos (Starburns) working on some other project that they had to write him out of the series?
No I read in an article (i'll post the link if I find it again) that he asked to be written off the series so that he could focus more on writing for Community.
Not surprised that Stamatopoulos is not going to act anymore. Good he's still on the show as he's I'm a huge fan eventhough when I met him it was kind of a disaster. I don't watch Law and Order so I knew I wouldn't like it much and it happened.(Still it looks to be better and funnier than the Civil War one, which I don't get why people like so much). I have really liked the show storywise since it returned but I haven't been laughing much except for the impersonators episode. Last time was the first I didn't like either although it still to me is better than almost everything on TV right now.
