I think that SirManc attended some classes where John Oliver from "Community" is a psychology professor and a Liverpool fan. I don't think it's a coincidence.

Reading fire McDermott. Odd timing with only 10 games left. Given the overall squad quality, I'm not sure a new guy will do much better. They have still retained a great ability to fight and comeback late all year in spite of everything, with credit to McDermott for that.

Yeah, not sure what they were expecting with that squad ? They still are within reach of avoiding relegation.

    Agreed.

And its surely no coincidence the quality of the midfield trio's or double pivots teams had then.

    Masch/Alonso/Gerrard

    Scholes/Carrick

    Maka/Essien/Lampard

    Flam/Fab/Hleb

Arsenal even had Vieira, Edu & Gilberto in that time
    Utd had Keane & Fletcher
    'Pool had Didi
    Chelsea had Ballack

    LMAO!

Not just that, but the quality of CB/GK partnerships were either world class or outstanding too. Very helpful in Europe.

How many managers have quit/been fired before a United match at Old Trafford now?

It's 2 out of 4 sackings only this season (QPR and Reading), but the other ones are Chelsea (which shouldn't really count these days) and Southampton, who went to OT in the second match after their against Everton. I kind of understand them because new managers wouldn't be criticized, if they got humiliated against a top team and praised, if they get a point or lose by a small margin. It's just sucks it's always United.

Good point, I hadn't even remembered we have Reading next up in the league. Let's hope they pull a Wolves and can't find a replacement in time.

Didn't Keane quit Sunderland before facing us at OT as well?

I think he did. I'm sure there's numerous other examples in the last 4 or 5 years.

I'm actually surprised, as we haven't seen that many firings this year in the PL.

    Reading, Southhampton, Chelsea, QPR

Anyone I forget? Seem's reasonably low compared with some years. Nothing like Serie A, that's for sure.

Yes. We've played 19 teams already - that's potentially 19 chances to sack someone.

    I don't think so.

At least you lot admit that you are not smart enough for a real University, and thus, you have to settle for community college.
