I think you also said we would lose the Columbus game. Is this your way of controlling mood swings? Just think the worse at all times and there is never a big disappointment?
I'm moving this Saturday. I won't be able to watch the game. Chances are good that means we win. You're welcome.
Welcome to the It's a Small Club After All party. We've been here before. It's rather dark and chilly down here. And our boats don't follow a specified path to a certain endpoint; they just meander off into nether regions in the endless darkness, while silly figures on the shore sing in mocking fashion at the bewildered floaters. Mood swings? That's what craft beer is for. At least we can get something right.
We definitely have been making some mistakes in the lineup, a few guys are underperforming, and we made some mistakes in the off-season that are hampering us. All that being said, we still have the personnel available to fix this thing and get back on the right track in my opinion. Hope to see Koval and Djalo starting this game
Yeah basically. If I assume the worst at all times, then any result that is not the worst is better. On the other hand, have you seen us play a game this season where we played well enough that we should have won? go quakes!! Fire JD and MW!! - Mark
Actually, not that much. There are, or were, a lot of alcoholics in my family, so I watch my alcohol in take. I might be a little looser on game days. go quakes!! Fire JD and MW!! - Mark

@bsman, I don't know these refs. Any word on them? Not that it makes a big difference. I'm not impressed with any MLS refs. (For reference, I like Mexican league officials.) In general, we need to play well enough to win. We need to generate a lot of chances on goal, and we need to put some of those away. Then we need to play well on defense, limit the enemy's chances, and keep a clean sheet. If we can do those things, the officiating won't matter. It's the games that are too close where a blown off-side call, or a PK given, or not can make the difference. At the beginning of the '12 season, we dominated the enemy out of the tunnel. Most of our early matches were in the bank by the 70th minute, and we didn't need "Goonie" come backs. That's what we need to aspire to. go quakes!! Fire JD and MW!! - Mark
Well then, by the law of averages . . . we're likely to win!! Actually, Colorado are playing well right now, and we . . . we suck. go quakes!! - Mark
interesting that marvin chavez only has 2 sub appearances, 39 minutes, 0 goals/assists, and hasn't played since 3/22 edit: he did draw a pk on the softest flop i've ever seen lol: http://www.mlssoccer.com/matchcenter/2014-03-15-NY-v-COL/highlights/247195
No way could Olave have generated that much impact with a couple of steps forward. He's a big guy, but come on...Chavez goes to the old holding head, rolling around on the ground schtick. Makes me feel a little less bad that he's not on the team anymore.
That would be one heck of a powerful adam's apple - one that could get you rolling on the ground in pain with just a few steps wind up. And if it was adam's apple to head or even chin to head, I would expect that Olave would be the one rolling on the ground if anyone.
