i'm not surprised by this. would the union fuse with the independence, and the independence remain a full blown pro team, not some hybrid cheap semi-pro team for the mls to piggy back? look how dc united looked the other way when the freedom brand was right in their face and grabbed a semi-pro penny pinching w-league team. women's PRO soccer will grow the right way with wps and the right type of owners like sahlen with the business models which can absorb a team.
