Mosquera is in good form now and should be given a chance like any other. he may be the best # 10 in Colombia. Plus his aforementioned free kicks and penalties must not be understated.

we called for years the best #10 in colombia.....and see the results...macnelly, aldo, giovanny (no good enough) we need to send these players since the are young to europe like michael and james, for become complete players....Mosquera has actittude problems that is worst

But the way he is playing deserves a call up. I am not saying he should start but he should be given a chance for a roster spot.

well, the other thing is that we have to wait if continues with that performance...he have only played 3 matches (dim has only 3 games, didnt play in the first week) in liga postobon at the moment...i think that is quicky to think in NT team spot

It is not too quickly at all knowing he was called up a few years ago and looked great against Venezuela & El Salvador and Ecuador.

That was 2 years ago and look that rivals.......and this year he have played well 3 matches (dim had a crappy season last semester) ......it is unfair that with 3 good matches he get called up when other colombian players are in good form asking for nt since long time ago...in that case i prefer macnelly, aldo, tressor, giovanny that they are in good form since long time

His best season was with leonel....he should have reasons for dont call up the player or maybe he get called up.....but i say 3 matches are not enough

The rivals does not mean anything to me cause a friendly is a friendly. And I brought those up cause you are making it seem like he will be called up on just three games merit.

It is not unfair to reward him on 3 matches this season anyway knowing he is younger and has possibly more potential than those other guys you list. Plus the free kick and penalties he always seems to do well on.

yes today is he get called is just three games merit not more....he is 25 the same as falcao, roda and that guys...at that age you need to be someone not a potential...........But if you are so sure of him why don't we wait a month if his performance is the same or not? if he improves or continue the same it would be a possibility......Penalty kicks we have teo....and i don't want to be party popper but mosquera isn't a free kick master...

I would call him for a LMF+FPC+Argentina team to play in Bolivia...

But for a real call up I would only include like 2 or 3 players from FPC and Mosquera is not one of them... From FPC I would only call up the top 2 players and the reserve keepers..

I'm completely agree with you guys regarding Mosquera, I agree with Clenbuterol. Mosquera right now in a good form, and deserves to be in the full squad. But one thing is for sure: DORLAN PABON POR LA SELECCION!!

this should be redone and only have the players under Leonel. He is his own coach and the fact most the players are the same is because they are the best we got.

This was a good thread. So Pekerman has picked 39 guys so far. Who do you guys think is missing or can make the jump to the NT?

There really aren't too many missing links.

We just need to develop some younger players at CB and maybe #10. At CB we need to bring in guys like Franco, Murillo and Leiton Jimenez.
At #10 Ortega, Cardona, maybe the young kid at Chelsea Joao if he develops quickly.

I'd also like to see some Mexican League players and MLS players like Chara & Montero.

Now I am not saying these players I listed would start or should start. They all could be benchers or not good enough to make the cut.

BUT in 2 years you never know...

    ...give them a chance.

Sorry but I just don't like Cardona whatsoever. He is so immature on and off the field. The two MLS players I would like to see given a chance : Montero and Castrillon. Especially Castrillon, who is a cross between Abel Aguilar and Aldo.

Still too young of a talent. In a few years if he has not matured then I am on your side. But the guy is still in his teen aged years.

Fair enough. He does have great skill. I would love to see a kid like him go to Argentina where he can develop into a better physical presence and mature.

I am stubbornly clinging to my memories of his partnership with James at the Toulon tournament. They had such great chemistry and attacked teams much better than the Ortega/James partnership we saw in the mundial.

very true. He must have been a real punk to have been omitted from the squad. I hope he learned his lesson. Although his last expulsion during the Millos-SFe clasico was so dumb.

Plus we don't need him for years since between Torres, Cuadrado, Guarin, Aguilar, and Pabon we have plenty of folks to play beside James in the second line...

And let's all not forget Juanfer Quintero, who is in my opinion the next best thing after James. At CB I think that beside Franco and Murillo, Stefan Medina must get his chance. This kid was wonderful in Nacional's title in 2011 and this semester under Osorio he's one of our stable players.
