Guys, if we can feel confident about Falcao making a recovery in time for the world cup, then I am pretty sure that we don't have to worry that much on Zuniga who supposedly went through the same thing and held a longer time to recover. So long as they prepare/train for the world cup, we shouldn't be that concern. They're doing everything they can to represent us and they care deeply about Colombia. They're more worried than us and we should have faith in them.

Well, when someone who has not played an official minute under Pekerman and has not been called up in a very long time is on a list for the World Cup it just makes me laugh.

At least with Darwin there's a chance.

With Dayro there is like no chance whatsoever at all.

I appreciate Dayro a lot, I think he is the best striker in the Colombian league and I do think that he can be a part of the NT BUT, as for now, we have at least two options ahead of him (Ramos & Darwin) in my opinion and since we won't take more then 5 strikers, I don't see where Dayro fit in, but no doubt that he is an excellent player.

It's kind of sad about Dayro's story as he's part of that 2005 squad. He has so much talent but I think he has so many inner demons that have kept him from being a super star. Unfortunately, I don't think Pekerman is ready to have our Tevez version in our NT.

    Good for Dayro!

Still a pipe dream to be called up for the Mundial but I am glad he is doing well for Millos.

costeños are real hard headed. You going to sit there and defend macnelly that is playing in a league that noone hears about? in the NT recently he hasn't done anything magical lol NO JODA

In his defense, Pekerman does seem to have a certain standard for his #10 type of position. Mac fits into that standard perfectly. Darwin and Dayro do not.

    1. The thing that is defended is that he have been important in our process in this NT, and no matter his league, he have played well......other thing is that james, looks much more confortable with him at his side...that when he was alone like the matches in lima and quito....and then the first time in barranquilla agisnt chile........it will be easier, if you remember that matches without macnelly in the midcamp...maybe his work is tactic....

2.So if you follow the nt and ton only since we start to winning, pekerman have always made line ups, with good results.......not priorizing, the league of the players they play.......exapmple teo (that in the thrid match as starter he had 2 goals and assit, and jackson in the same number o , in a better league)
    3. valdivia was the 10 of chile in 2010, playing in arabia....people not have to be selected because they play in a good league, or lost it because that reason....
4.maybe won a spot in arabia is imposible, vut macnelly showed before to the coach that he is nt player...

dont suffer just because your international friends, wont know who is the player from al shabbab.....

ps: im not costeño ....and macnelly is an idol of a paisa club, not from the costeños club....very pathetic your regionalism argument

im not saying dayro or darwin should replace macnelly. i know Pekerman will take him to brazil regardless. i just hope he's in top form like he was in the early qualification matches.
