Nice attempt of trolling, shouldn't Nice try at trolling. Shouldn't you be busy focusing your attention on the fact that England might not EVEN make the world cup?
for now let's enjoy tonight's game and the fact that we can continue to have a strong message board leading into next summer! if memory serves back in 2009/10 - I may have already created the 2011 Copa America Thread. Now we can have a good discussion about the November friendlies
Pretty darn impressive stuff for our World Cup return: # 1st in defense in CONMEBOL # 2nd best Goal Differential in CONMEBOL #3rd best in scoring # best points finish for a Colombian team in WCQ # best visitor in WCQ # Top 3 (tied) in individual scoring (Falcao) # Seeded team for World Cup # Top 10 FIFA ranking finish # 3 goals were the most goals received in single match # Ospina with the new record for keeping the cleanest sheet for longest
A moderator commented on this on the fifa.com live score chat: Single yellow cards and match suspensions resulting from two cautions imposed in different matches of the preliminary competition will not be carried over to the final competition in Brazil. Suspensions after a red card will be carried over to the final competition in Brazil.
So according to this, Guarin will only miss out on the first match. http://www.fifa.com/worldcup/prelim...96965/index.html?intcmp=newsreader_news_box_2
So with the squad going down from 27 to 23 for the world cup is Muriel in danger of missing the world cup? Bacca seems to be ahead in the depth chart and Muriel is having a disappointing season. Then you got Montero who will at least get some consideration
let's see who is still healthy and in form by March....that's where we will tell who is most likely to go or not. defensively, i would like to see Balanta and Arias get some caps; and even medina (nacional bias - i admit). midfield - quintero needs to get minutes and edwin needs to get fitness/form back by march. forwards - montero, ibarbo, pabon are players we may consider too.
ive always wanted to see montero on the NT. i think Medina had his chance... time to look elsewhere. ditto for the rest.
I like that Montero is doing well, but I don't see him being added this late in the game in our deepest position. We will only take 4 strikers and the guys we have at the moment have been with the team for quite sometime now. I also doubt that he will keep his superb form, he is just playing out of his mind right now.
no doubt, but like tio nicci said... anything can happen in 8 months. its good to give him at least a look. see how he performs with the rest. the same applies to any other young talent.
When do we get the list of players that will be going to Europe for the friendlies? That list will tell us a lot about whether to expect new players or not.
Uish, I still remember the horrible injury of Valderrama before the WC 1994 vs. Sweden in a friendly match. I was worried sick for him to be healthy and at the end he was but...
