U-17 does not test out the infrastructure of a country by any means, and no one travels to see a U-17 world cup.

no i cant compare them thats why i said...
The point that im trying to make is; and im going to use your own words lets just change Spain For Colombia and Violence with Racism discrimination

what i want to get across is that Spain being a "racist" country is the same bold statement as saying Colombia is one of the dangerous places in the world
we are not in the 80's-90's also we already did a Copa America and now we are doing a U20 WC without any problems, which if im not mistaken this one is breaking records of attendance (the last statement i just hear it im not sure...)

If you say Colombia is not prepare because of money, rich history in WC, infrastructure, blah blah blah or the obvious fact that in 2030 the WC is going to be in Uruguay (killing any Colombian chance of hosting a WC in 2034) ill accept it, but don't come with broad statements like "Colombia is one of the dangerous places in the world" because its like me saying Spain is one of the most racist places in the world...

I love the last senteces of the last post!

honest and sincere, yet, first hand information...

at times, the spaniard makes 'broad' statements like the racist and separatist ideals of states like arizona or alabama *rule 56*....peligrosa vison del mundo ajeno, sin ver en el medio caotico economico y social en que vive!

    kkk TYPE of sentiment!

I think this U-17 WC broke attendance records... mostly because of the games involving Mexico though.

No one travels? Maybe 10 people did, so you're wrong. :D

Even in this U-20 tournament, games without Colombia are kind of empty. It's just the way it is with youth tournaments I guess. Home team playing = sold out, otherwise the only sounds coming from the stands are crickets chirping.

The 2 actual World Cups Mexico hosted were a success though, despite being in a less hostile time. Only difference I'd see in a real WC would be more people than in the U-17 one. If this was a senior tournament, even games without Mexico playing would've been packed. I don't think Mexico's situation would be enough to scare the whole world from attending.

Yeah if the u-20 was in town I'd go watch a few games, but I wouldn't drive more than 30 minutes to go watch it. Yeah those cups mexico hosted were some of the best ever, how hot does it get down there though?

CITIES in the north side: could reach 37 farenheit facilmente
central mexico 8 degrees less (humedad en chiapas y cancun...pero no tan sofocante como el verano norteno)
is a huge country - con una variedad notoria de climas y estructura futbolera/hotelera

Efernandez kid, have you ever heard of change of opinion? And how do you know that I am a non-soccer insider? I probably know just as much about soccer as you do, despite that you may or may not be older than me, boy.

No the FARC are pretty much completely dead.

And sure Spain didn't have a gang problem, just a BASQUE TERRORIST problem.

The ETA is still very much alive and strong. I would not feel safe in Spain.

Next we're not going to do a World Cup in the USA because of Al Qaeda. Jesus you're a **********.

This whole thread is ridiculous. Either one of these 2 countries can host the WC solo and there have been WC's in plenty of politically uneasy countries in the past.

LMAO some of these posts are so ridiculous it's so funny to just look at how some people, myself included, post things that will eventually cause some controversy and will lead to arguments. LOL

+1. Besides, by 2034, Venezuela will be a powerful footballing nation. They can host it on their own.

This could essentially be a good bid, but Colombia/Venezuela could be very well be bidding against giants like Brazil/Spain/Netherlands/Argntina etc. The whole idea of it is good, though.

Nunca dije que foros no son para expresar opiniones de toda clase controversiales y de otra clase, solo dije que en unos instances las pueden terminar en conflictos.

Finally, I agree with you 100%. You are correct on in every aspect of this statement.

But in that case, I think it would be best that we drop our little discussion about what I said earlier about Colombia being dangerous. Wouldn't that be a bit better? If you're willing, than I'm willing.

    We cool? We good? :)

Well I'm pretty sure Korea and Japan could of hosted their own World Cups...

Usually there's a reason beyond the ability to host that is the source of cohosting. Similiar to how Portugal and Spain bidded to cohost 2016, it certainly wasn't due to the lack of venues in either country.

I really hope not, because COL/VEN hosting in 2034 means that Uruguay didn't get 2030, and I really, really want to see the World Cup back where it started for it's 100-year anniversary. So maybe COL/VEN can bid for 2046 instead? :D

    that will be great!!!

but - the size of that country can not even host a 24 team competition
makes more sense, if they do grp stages in argentina, and play semifinals and final in montevideo.

do not know how money and attendance numbers look, knowing that argies will see only preliminary games, but hotel capacity has to be shared. There is no way the small country can handle it alone, not even financially.
