Even if we draw against Belgium and Netherlands, we would go down and only go up if we win both matches.

Just for the sake of pride; I would like it if we can somehow reach number 1 before the world cup.

We will only be #1 if we win the World Cup. I can care less if we lose. We need to try out players. Beating Belgium now is meaningless if we lose to them next year in the knockout rounds. Try out new guys (CB, DM & RB are needed badly!!)

Yeah it is literally impossible to pass Spain and Germany at this point. I am with crzd, I don't care if we lose a few games if we are trying to figure out what line ups and formations work best against the European teams.

Yepes + Perea will not work against Belgium they are even faster than Chile.

No Zuniga is really really going to hurt us. Zapata is playing better and hope the Paraguay game gave him the spot next to Yepes. Yepes is the starter but with his playing time in Atlanta+his age hope that Balanta and Murillo get a chance and live up to their hype.

I prefer Murillo-Balanta even tho they haven't been test our current crop of CBs just worries me. Why did Valdez lose his starting spot when he has always play'd very well at that role. Is it because he doesn't work with Yepes as both are slow?

They are stronger than Chile too, oh and they are definitely taller than Chile. Belgium is alot more scary when it comes to Corners and set pieces, If Venezeula can easily score from set pieces against us, think about Belgium!!

The speed doesn't rather concern me, but Fellaini does!!! I can only see Abel getting a red card just to attempt a tackle on him

Luckily for us, Fellaini has been in poor form as of late.

Fellaini still almost scored a header against Croatia, only to be saved by the cross bar

I'm more afraid of Lukaku overpowering Yepes after Perea's giveaway or Hazzard running circles against Medina...

    Oh wait.... :D

Lol I am glad the Medina saga seems to be over for now. Hazard would abuse the poor kid. I like Medina, but he needs a couple of years before playing for the national team.

Medina with 2 stronger CBs wouldn't be so bad. People are crucifying the kid and not blaming the Vets who also shit their pants against Uruguay and Chile. Same as those who hate Jackson because Teo scored more goals at home against weaker teams and like Falcao couldn't score on Brazil or Argentina.

That game vs Argentina was all messed up by the red cards. You can't really take anything from that game. The Brazil game was just one game bro. Falcao has scored against Barca, Madrid, Chelsea, PSG and is known to be one of the best big game players in the world. Check out his stats in final games.

Or you know, that ONE chance he got around the end.

What was he trying to do, chip the keeper instead of shooting low?

Yeah he was trying to chip it. He was tired from the run and it was late in the game so it didn't work out. Falcao did the same thing in his last Monaco game, but he knows how to do it lol. Jackson tries the chip way too often, he tries the chip on penalty kicks too.

I am pretty sure Falcao did it because he wasn't as close as Jackson.

Either way, Falcao obviously knows when to choose how to finish and Jackson sometimes doesn't.

Jackson is saving his goals for the World Cup. Pekerman is crazy not to bring him but yea the Paraguay game pissed me off when he went for the chip. Another thing I didn't get is WTF wasn't it Teo - Jackson. Bacca did well but our top 3 are Falcao, Teo, Jackson. He doesn't think Jackson can play with Falcao and is his backup. I accept that but why not play him with our starter? I feel Jackson keeps getting f'd over by not playing with the real A team(James, Zuniga, Falcao)

I don't think Falcao and Jackson would work. I think Jackson will remain as Falcao's main replacement.
