y es una ironia, en la eliminatoria para el 2002 perdimos con gol en el ultimo minuto ese puntico nos hubiera calificado, nos han eliminado pero siempre hemos estado ahi al pie de la clasificacion el menos malo de los quedados de esas epocas

ps en realidad nos mato fue en la copa de oro y en las eliminatorias para el 2006......creo que estamos hablando del 2003 , en ambos partidos........despues no nos ha hecho mucho daño en los siguientes dos o 3 partidos que nos enfrento...... si usamos, como antecedente el oso de millos.......eso es otra cosa.....
pensando acerca del partido contra Brasil.. se me ocurrio ke tambien seria una oportunidad para probar un estilo defensivo... digamos ke la primera mitad jugamos a lo ke venimos jugando y luego jugamos a cerrar el partido.. no seria mala idea ya ke no todas la veces podremos salir a acabar al contrario.. algunos partidos seran a otro precio ya sea por expulsiones o por lesiones o por lo ke sea y se puede necesitar saber si el ekipo es capaz de sostener un resultado sin tener ke atacar tanto...
Our defense is not good enough to defend for a game especially to hold back a team like Brazil. Our only hope is to just score more than they can. Our DM, GK and Defense is weak Ospina - good goalie but just reclaimed his starting spot at a crappy french team. Not exactly a young Mondragon or Cordoba Yepes- doesn't play for Milan or is at least a rotation player for them. Dude is 37.... no where near the Yepes of 2001-2006 -Perea - he had 2-3 good games under Pekerman but has been crap in the NT since 2002. Not exactly world class and doesn't play in the best team/league - Armero - rotation player at Udinese and doesn't play LB for his Club - Zuniga- injured - Edwin Valencia - isn't he injured? If not he isn't even a starter for his team - Carlos Sanchez - good player but plays for a crappy team in france and is just recovering his form he had because he was dumb this summer listening to a idiot agent Our DM down have been good so far but defiantly can be better/replaced and not strong enough to stop a team like Brazil by bunkering

Aren't you the poster that gets banned half the time for not reading others post. I don't think we have a strong enough team to play defensively especially against a good team. We kind of tried it against Ecuador and that went badly. You can say what ever you want about being the least beaten team but that doesn't change the fact that the quality we have attacking wise is World Class compared to what we have defensively and at GK. Man WE have a fing 41 year old as a our BACK UP !!!! Our 2nd back up is a 23 year old that does nothing but bloopers. WE have no GKS other than Ospina. WTF happened to Neko? Zapata and Castillo suck. The Nacional kid Bonilla is decent but is really a NT quality GK at this point in his career?

Anyway, the backup GK situation is a frustrating one. Out of the keepers I liked: Neco did alright in the Copa America and has since fallen off the face of the earth. Bonilla is still way too raw. I like Ramos but he is injured and has his ups and downs. Mondragon is old. Vargas is too inexperienced. I liked Castellanos but he is a bencher at el DIM. Viafara is a model now.
cordoba, mondrafon and calero......arrived to the NT being very youngs....cordoba did terrible matches and alsos did blooper..........vargas and bonilla, their only enemy is their age Since when the age of the goalkeepers ,,,,when they are old have been a problem? .....mondragon is more in the NT, as a leader than a sub goalkeeper, im sure that in wcq if opsina gets injured vargas is the keeper.....by the way mondragon, is doing great in cali.....he have saved 4 penalty kicks of 5 , since he returned.....so analize if he is good or not, before if he is old or young..... Ramos is so overrated.....his sub in millos, delgado is like him.....
Analizando los mundiales alguna vez me di cuenta de una cosa y es ke para llegar a estar entre los cuartos de final algunas veces solo basta un jugador goleador de clase internacional y un man ke le cree futbol y el resto de los jugadores basta con ke sean normales.... el otro dia el calvo velez hizo una clasificacion ke es muy logica jugador de clase local: se destaca en su liga y ya jugador de clase internacional: se puede destacar en ligas internacionales o en un pais distinto al suyo jugadores de clase mundial: rinde en cualkier parte del mundo... bajo ese orden de ideas, YO considero ke tenemos esto : nuestra seleccion esta compuesta x Falcao = clase mundial y cerca de el: James y Jackson va x ese camino, pero aun son = clase internacional resto del equipo ( la mayoria) incluso banca = clase internacional entonces no despotriquemos de nuestros jugadores ke hay muchos paises ke quisieran tenerlos.. ps: segun mi analisis de los mundiales, nos deberia alcanzar facilemente a estar entre los 8

pero algo es cierto a futuro la defensa preocupa, una vez chao los yepes, pereas, no hay reemplazos de la misma calidad que el resto de las posiciones del equipo y nuestro arquero pasa el examen pero no es la maravilla , prometia pero se quedo en eso, la epoca de los grandes arqueros fue los 90s con higuita, cordoba, mondragon y calero
That Murillo kid of Las Palmas looks good he was our best CB last U-20 but again he needs to be in a stronger league. Even then he doesn't look like we will get a young Cordoba anytime soon
Perea jamás fue un defensa de calidad no nos digamos mentiras Yo jamás e entendido que es lo que le critican a Ospina, el tipo no tiene ni 25 años, los arqueros maduran como a los 30, así paso con Mondragon, Oscar y Calero. Sin embargo tenemos un arquero para añoooos y por su posición con un amplio margen de mejora.
ps se saco un as debajo de la manga como lo fue valdez........que ha dado la talla, cuando nadie lo imaginaba.......y eso que juega en una liga donde el defensa mejor catalogado desde el 2010, es colombiano y se llama jamilson olave.....mucha gente le tiene fé a franco y demas........
es un buen arquero ,cumple, pero no esta a la altura de los mencionados, la edad no es excusa, los otros se destacaron mucho mas a esa edad, encima tenian liderazgo.
