A new CoD title will be announced in a couple weeks. Rumor has it that it's a direct sequel to Black Ops. http://www.gameinformer.com/b/news/...-of-duty-reveal-likely-coming-next-month.aspx
that's what I've been reading .... not sure what time frame it will be. heard it might be up in the 80s or something

Saw the trailer, nothing jumped out at me to make me want to buy the game. I've always been harsh on Treyarch, because I don't think they make good games, and just looking at the trailer I don't think much will change. The game just doesn't look good, and I mean the actual look of the game. You'd think they'd want to update the graphics engine, but to me it looks like something that came out 4 years ago. At least AC3 and Halo 4 will keep my November occupied.
It's interesting the popular take away from everyone who wasn't at the press conference for the game was the graphics in the trailer looked pretty weak (myself included) but the people at the presser talked about noticing improvements with the engine. It'll be interesting to see if those improvements are noticeable for us at home when they do the E3 demo. My big hope from reading up on previews is that the campaign really will feel more open with the "strike force" missions and by offering up the chance to play certain missions from different positions (either being sniper or security for the President).
