Pedro Morales is coming back in Chile - U. de Chile, on loan.

Canio sounds like a good player, when you consider his two ex clubs.
10 millions of dollars sounds expensive? Is this new stadium or adaptacion?

Stelios Gianakopoulos played for CSD Rangers. One of good Greek players, he also played in Bolton Wanderers in England. I have heard bout Chilean Cremaschi, Argentinian Cantatore. Not many good results in Rangers.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/C.S.D._Rangers

Their uniform reminds on AC Milan (Home) and AEK Athens (Guests). They have Scottish founder.:) I think that Rangers can't satisfy ambitions of N. Peric. Are they coming in First Division?

Diego Barrios was fourth goal scorer with nine goals. Nicolas Trecco scored seven goals. To bad if he leaves.

Canío is(was) a good player. He was our top scorer in the Clausura 2007.
But he has some problems with alcohol.

The new stadium would cost 10 million pesos, not dollars;)

Trecco also gave a lot of assists (10 or more). I think that Trecco and Roco were our best players during the Clausura 2011.

Yes, Rangers going to play in 1rst division this year. They normally play 1 year in 1rst division, and inmediatly get back to 2nd division. Typical "elevator" team.:D

On February 26th we'll play against Rangers, at Talca.

Finally Nico Trecco is going to Univ.Católica. His "pase" was very expensive for us (750,000 dollars for the 50% of it).:(

Our 6 new players would be:

Juan Abarca (Universidad de Chile), centre-left defender.

Fernando Saavedra (Everton), right-back, right midfielder, defensive midfielder.

Cristián Canío (Audax Italiano, ex-top scorer in Cobreloa during the Clausura 2007), attacking midfielder ("enganche") and forward.

    Felipe Flores (Santiago Morning, ex-Cobreloa 2007), forward.

    Gerson Martínez (San Luis), forward.

Cristián Milla (Rangers), argentine forward. He scored 13 goals during the Clausura 2011 in 2nd division.:)

No me tinca mucho G. Martínez: aparte de su chispazo en el Torneo de Toulon del 2009, ha demostrado ser un jugador "del montón"...y en Segunda. Si quiera era titular en San Luis?

Juan Abarca and Cristián Canío would be the other 2.

Felipe Flores and Fernando Saavedra are not coming apparently.:)

On monday 16th will start the pre-season, in Santiago.

    Hi HC:)

We have only 3 new players so far:( (and looks like only 1 of them will be starter: the argentine scorer Cristián Milla).

Today will start the preseason, in Stgo.

Do you know that Chilean league is in TOP 10 best football leagues? Chile is on 10th place. Croatian league is in 51st place.:) They look on the whole league, not just first club.

Yeah, in fact still there are negotiations with some of the other mentioned players, like the forwards Canío and Flores. Defender Juan Abarca is impossible now, he signed for Twente(NED).
I think we must concentrate our efforts in a right-back and an attacking midfielder.

Yup, I read something about the 10th place in the world of our championship. Considering la U won the Sudamericana Cup 2011, and la Católica reached 1/4 finals in the Libertadores Cup 2011, it's possibly true.
But Colocolo, U.Española and Iquique failed in the international cups last year.
So, who knows if we're 10th:rolleyes:

When is the deadline for transfers in Chile?

This statistics also said that Velez Sarsfield is the fourth or fifth club in the world.:D I think that Chilean league can be in top 10, but 51st place for Croatia is not so real. At least around 30 place. Also one player from Estonia was in competition for Golden Ball, or best European best scorer, because he scored a lot of goals in Estonian league. It's not the same to score in Estonia or in Spain. Don't remember players name.

It's the day before the 4th journey (February 16th).

Agreed. It's ridiculous to compare goals in Estonia with goals in Spain.

Some time ago Mauricio Pinilla said that 1 goal in the italian league=10 goals in mexican league.:D Typical Pinilla's polemic statements.:D

Championship is starting at the end of January. It would be hard to implement new players in the system.

Mexican league isn't weak at all. When you consider how weak is their Central American zone. But they produce large number of good players: Chicharito, Marquez, brothers de Nigris, Borghetti, C. Blanco, Campos, Uribe, Ambriz, Herrera, Aspe, El Matador, Hugo Sanchez, Arellano, Aguirre, Brazilian dos Santos, Argentinian Franco, Carlos Vela and many others.

Felipe Flores is our 4th new player.:(
He already played in Cobreloa during 2007, and he failed. Last year he played in Stgo.Morning. I don't like this forward, probably he'll be the "new Ibáñez" (0 goal).

Cristián Canío, another ex-Cobreloa 2007, is doing today his medical tests, so probably will sign tomorrow. In 2010, he played in Audax Italiano, and he scored against us a beautiful goal (we lost 3:4 that game at Calama). He was our top scorer in the Clausura 2007.:)

    Now we're searching a 2nd goalkeeper, a right-back and an attacking midfielder.

Maybe Flores learned a lot during last 5 years.:D Not good.
Canio could be a good player. I remember that thriller match against Audax.

Europe has now two championships: waterpolo (Eindhoven, Holland) and handball (Serbia).

Croatia played opening matches in both sports and achieved two victories. In waterpolo against Romania and in handball against Iceland.

In both sports Croatia is favorite for gold or medals.

Waterpolo: Hungary, Croatia, Italy, Spain, Serbia, Montenegro. These teams will decide about first four places. Croatia is title defender of the last EURO from Zagreb.

Good luck to Croatia in every sport:)

Goalkeeper José Acevedo would be our 6th new player. Last year he played in Naval(2nd division).

Now there are possibilities to buy an argentine sweeper, a chilean right-back and another forward.
I don't get why the club don't buy an attacking midfielder.

Gracias.:) Last night Croatia has won in waterpolo against Montenegro, one of direct opponents for gold medal, it was 10-8. I forgot to watch.:D I thought it was today.

In handball today we play against Slovenia, also good opponent. Our second game.

Australian Open is bad for Croats, only one representative in the second round: Ivo Karlovic, who only puts aces and has good 1st serve, nothing else. Others have lost their matches.

    Wikipedia is blacked out.

    :)

But in Alpine Ski Croatia has Ivica Kostelic, he is on the second position overall. He also defends his first place from the last season. Austrian Marcel Hirscher is on the first place, for now.:D

I saw some triathlon races and I saw Chilean representative Riveros. She could do something on this Summer Olympics.

Club Naval also exists in Portugal. Attacking midfielder would be better solution. If they do bad buys, everything could get wrong. Also Cobreloa needs good start for confidence and optimism.

First match doesn't sound so difficult.

In February Cobreloa should get 10 points at least. Maybe U. de Chile could win here. If they had kept their best players (Vargas).

In March Cobreloa should get 12 points.:D

In April Cobreloa should get 15 points.

In May Cobreloa should get 9 points.

This should be enough for the first place before play-offs.:)

In 6PM Cen. Eur. Time Croatia is playing against Slovenia - handball.

    Who are the favorites now?

    U. de Chile, Cobreloa, Colo Colo, U. Catolica again? It's good that you write in English, so that everyone could understand.:)

6PM - Central European Time: EURO in Handball: Slovenia - Croatia in Serbian city of Vrsac. Croatia isn't playing in Belgrade because of high risk for players and possible fans. But we must go there in semifinals and finals.

Winning football matches is very easy:D

Eduardo Vargas left la U to Napoli, so Cobreloa got more than 4 million dollars, and their captain J.Rojas is now in brazil's Botafogo. La U sold another players, but mostly substitutes.

I think we have a good team (Luciano Palos, Sebastián Roco, Andrés Oroz, Alexander Corro, Bryan Cortés, Hugo Lusardi, Cristián Milla, Diego Barrios, hopefully Cristián Canío if he's fit, etc.) but we need a right back and an attacking midfielder anyway.

The favourite are, as always: Univ.de Chile, Cobreloa, Univ.Católica, ColoColo, maybe Unión Española. I think Iquique, O'Higgins and Huachipato have competitive squads too. Audax Italiano could be the "surprise".

Today Alexis Sánchez going to be starter for Barça, against R.Madrid. I hope he will score 1 goal again.:)
