Cobreloa started to win in best moments, it would be bad that these four victories did not came. Chilean championship has today two matches.

    U. Catolica - U. de Chile
    OHiggins - A. Italiano

    U. de Chile could go undefeated here, tie or victory.
OHiggins will win here I think, but Audax still has chances to go in play offs if they win two matches. Its hard to expect that they can win against Colo Colo, so they dont have so much odds to qualify.

Cobreloa must win Union Espanola, tie could bring play offs, but its risky.

Iquique is dangerous, they should win against Union San Felipe in the last round.

With victory Cobreloa could win the fifth place and probably get Iquique. If they play 1st against 8th, 2nd against 7th, 3rd against 5th.

The match between U. Catolica and U. de Chile could be seen here.

    http://www.extreme7sports.blogspot.com/p/ch2.html

The match was interrupted in few minutes, problems on the stadium, also one dog entered on the court. U. Catolica is much better so far. Twenty minutes passed so far. Bad injury of one player, with blood on his leg.

    U. de Chile scored. 0-1. They were no where in the match. And now 1-1, Nicolas Castillo scored. Now 2-1 for U. Catolica, Nicolas Trecco, everything happened in few minutes, reporters are very loud, nothing compared with European reporters, goooooool!

Francisco Silva did one bad start and got the yellow card. Starts are without mercy, they hit, they hit the ball 20 meters infront of their players, players can run so much.

12.4 PM in Chilean time, thats why I can follow this match in normal time.

Morales needs to get his head in the game... he has been missing many passes and we can't link defence with offense properly.

Good match in Clasico Universitario. U Catolica dominated. Expected more from U. de Chile. Great to see different type of matches, beside European matches. OHiggins-Audax is late, around 23.30, must get up early. I could watch Banfield - Lanus. Uruguay championship has Montevideo Wanderers - Penarol, probably defensive football. Boca Juniors - Velez, also late around 00.15.

This is strange, something bad happened to Morales him in Dinamo Zagreb, like he forgot how to play. Perdio su Moral.:D I had good opinion about him when he was on the court. He probably lost his motivation, probably does not care so much about competetive football. His main desire was come back in Chile I think.

Have you seen English championship, Manchester City came back from defeat to victory in two minutes. Manchester United lost his title in two minutes, like Bayern Munich against Manchester United on 28. May 1999. in the finals of the Ch. League.

Too bad we lost, but it is understandable as we saved our key players for Copa Libertadores. Morales is from the reserve team. You are right in saying his passing used to be faster and better, but so many months in the bench with Dinamo Zagreb and later back in La U have cost him. He was never the fastest, but at least his passes used to be good. Today his passing was poor, lost many passes in the counter... even Marino was better!

The one thing he is still very dangerous with is his dead balls. Almost every corner or free-kick taken by Morales was delivered perfectly and Toselli had an inspired performance to keep us from scoring, because the Catolica defenders couldn't cope with the crossings.

As for the Man City game... WOW!!!! The best end of season match I have seen in ages... the whole league decided in the last 4 minutes... absolutely insane! Pizarro joined in the celebration even though he hardly played LOL. Still, it won't look bad in his CV once he retires! I heard rumours La U might try and buy him now that he is thinking about returning to Chile.... he definitely passes better than Morales... :sneaky:

U de Chile will be first anyway before these play offs, also you have a difficult job against Libertad in Copa Libertadores, probably your coach wants to balance his team between Apertura play offs and Copa Libertadores. Team was also probably tired after the match against Deportivo Quito, unusual results, U de Chile was defeated away with 4-1 and in Santiago it was 6-0 for U de Chile.

Probably Morales wont be on higher level like before. His goal is playing in Chile, maybe changing clubs there. With this shape its good that U de Chile accepted him. His long passes, sometimes free kicks were great. Footballers do not forget how to pass, thats in their nature, they can be slower, afraid of injuries. I dont know what could change him, in Dinamo Zagreb they dont say in public about their players, they cover them and protect. Probably they also saw those bad passes, lost balls, people in general dont follow Croatian national league, its not on national TVs, there is no public interest, even though Croatia has good national team. All those players came out from this league, which dont attract people. It would be good to see Morales better, at least on his level in Dinamo Zagreb.

One fan of Manchester City was kicking his seat during the negative match, to bad because of Manchester United. We wont see those moment so soon. Queens Park Rangers could not keep the ball, after they received goal they had kicked the ball from the center very deep into Manchester City area. Reporters of Chilean CDFP mentioned also that result, also Juventus Atalanta...David Pizarro gave his best ages in Udinese, Roma and Inter, but its interesting to see him improving again and getting the better club. In Roma I remember him the most. He had a lot of energy in running, good passes, sometimes shots from distance. Some fans of Manchester City had an transparent: Not in my lifetime. Something like that. Really strange and dramatic match.

Croat Nikica Jelavic scored again for his Everton. player of the month in England.

    http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/ever...of-the-month-award-for-april-100252-30903383/

In the Champions League goal of Ivan Perisic won the fourth place in the whole season. If you could see Champions League Magazine, as a introduction before their matches.

Manchester United must buy 2,3 great players, they are trying to give legendary status for their old players Giggs and Scholes. They behave like they dont have the money. They retire player, than they invite him back. Very bad season for them.

Yes, Man Utd need to think of replacements for Giggs and Scholes... they still haven't found players cheap enough and good enough to fill their shoes.

They have bought bad in recent ages, Michael Owen who is injured all the time, similar like Hargreaves, Berbatov is on the bench mostly, Carrick is very defensive, Anderson spends time in partying, Bebe is not in the first team. They have many players in their squad, but they use the same players all the time: Rooney, Giggs, Nani, Scholes, Ferdinand, Evra, Vidic, Park Ji Sung, Ashley Young, Hernandez, Anderson, Rafael, Valencia, Fletcher, they cant play in all competitions, without resting. Champions League season was so bad, they won only against Otelul Galati from Romania.

Ferguson wanted to buy Croat Luka Modric, but Tottenham is pressuring Modric so that he stays there. He is unhappy in Tottenham. Same as Niko Kranjcar. Management of Tottenham agreed in Dubrovnik with Luka Modric and Dinamo Zagreb, that he can leave from Tottenham if club gets a good offer, Manchester United wanted him, Chelsea, Barcelona, but they bought Cesc Fabregas after. This agreement was verbal agreement, but anyway Tottenham should respect his desires.

Manchester United should buy 2,3 players, winger and two creative central players.

Italian list for EURO 2012, against Ireland, Spain and Croatia.

Goalkeepers: Buffon (Juventus), De Sanctis (Napoli), Sirigu (PSG), Viviano (Palermo),

Defenders: Abate (Milan), Astori (Cagliari), Balzaretti (Palermo), Barzagli (Juventus), Bocchetti (Rubin Kazan), Bonucci (Juventus), Chiellini (Juventus), Criscito (Zenit), Maggio (Napoli), Ogbonna (Torino), Ranocchia (Inter),

Midfielders: Cigarini (Atalanta), De Rossi (Roma), Diamanti (Bologna), Giaccherini (Juventus), Marchisio (Juventus), Montolivo (Fiorentina), Thiago Motta (PSG), Nocerino (Milan), Pirlo (Juventus), Schelotto (Atalanta), Verratti (Pescara),

Attackers: Balotelli (Manchester City), Borini (Roma), Cassano (Milan), Destro (Siena), Di Natale (Udinese), Giovinco (Parma).

In one Bolivian club, Club Bamin Real Potosi, I have found one player with Croatian heritage, Nicolas Tudor.

He could be related with Lukas Tudor Bakulic, even though he is Chilean. Majority of surnames Tudor is from island Hvar, Southern Dalmatia.

Croatia national team had Igor Tudor in the squad, born in Split: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Igor_Tudor

Muchas gracias Metro. Coincido contigo en lo del penal que no fue y en lo de Méndez, quien no obstruía la vista de Palos. De todas formas hubiera sido 2:3 para Cobreloa.:)

We'll win this saturday, now all our players have this new mentality (to run, to win, to score a lot of goals, pressing, etc.). U.Española lost at home against Iquique, so they're in troubles after the elimination in Copa Libertadores vs Boca Juniors.

More good news: Cristián Rojas, Bryan Cortés and Hugo Lusardi would play this saturday after their long injuries.

Great to see new emotions in Cobreloa. 26 points will be on Cobreloa account, fifth place and good draws probably, against Iquique. But U Catolica could be the opponent if they dont win against Concepcion. Maybe they will calculate something, who knows.

After EURO 2012, new management is coming in Croatian Football Federation, Davor Suker is a new president, terrible, Igor Stimac new coach. Slaven Bilic will coach Lokomotiv Moscow after EURO. New members are also bad for those positions. Stimac is a bad coach, he has small experience in Croatian league, fired very soon. Davor Suker also became silly in his interviews.."I am Croatian brand, I like to see children smiling when they see me..." Pure ignorant who collects money from Croatia diaspora in USA and Canada, with his Davor Suker Football Academy...they pay a lot for maybe 2 weeks of this Academy.:D

Santiago W. - Cobreloa good match, second and third goal were great. That first penalty for Santiago W. was doubtfull, they both went on the ball. But its great that Palos defended this. Also he defended one difficult shot, but they scored in the second try. Cobreloa had luck also, three bars of Wanderers. But the style looks great, attractive passes. In Chilean championship its common to see brutal starts, like this one of Santiago...:D Conflict with Santiago goalkeeper, Cobreloa player pretended that he hited him in the face..:D Good luck against Union Espanola.

After the match they can enjoy in fresh made bread with beef or lamb meat.:) In Croatia there is a famous baking company called Pan-Pek. Pan is from Spanish language, or probably from Latin. Pek means to bake, from Croatian word peći. Oven is called also peć.

José Luis Díaz and Sebastián Roco aren't fit, but he would be on the bench, and maybe they'll play in the 2nd half.
    Hugo Lusardi is still injured.

So the probable XI for tomorrow against Unión Española will be:

    Luciano Palos(ARG);
    Felipe Rojas, Juan Abarca, Cristián Suárez, Rodolfo González;
    Felipe Muñoz, Pedro Vera(PAR), Boris González;
Sebastián Zúñiga, Cristián Canío, Felipe Flores.
    Coach: Javier Torrente(ARG).

I don't like that midfield, is TOO DEFENSIVE.:cautious:

If Unión La Calera ties with S.Wanderers tonight, COBRELOA will qualify to the play-offs tonight, without the obligation to win tomorrow.

Defensive formation, at home, is not a good solution. Union Espanola has lost against Iquique at home, its obvious that they have problems now.

    Audax Italiano - Colo Colo
    Universidad de Chile - Huachipato

    Another interesting matches.

Matches are finished. Cobreloa is holding eighth position.:D It could be better, at least fifth position, but this result is also great. Bad thing is that Universidad de Chile is their opponent.

    http://www.fifa.com/associations/association=chi/nationalleague/standings.html

Universidad de Chile became strong again, after their defeat against Universidad Catolica.

    Play-off couples are like this:

    Universidad de Chile - Cobreloa
    OHiggins - Union La Calera
    Deportes Iquique - Colo Colo
    Universidad Catolica - Union Espanola

Bigger surprise is a defeat of OHiggins against Cobresal (1-0).
Audax Italiano did not had much chances to win against Colo Colo.
Routine match of Universidad Catolica against Universidad de Concepcion, one point fot both teams.
Derby of lower positions between Antofagasta and Rangers finished with the advantage of Rangers (0-1).
Cobreloa should provide better result against Union Espanola, at least one point, but luckely everything came very good for zorros de desierto. Bad decision of Torrente, who organized defensive style. His decision almost revenged against him.

    Good luck in play-offs.

Cobreloa lost against U. de Chile at home, 0-2. Early goal of U. de Chile probably changed their tactics.

In my view, he didn't call one PK for each team: one was a foul by Lichnovksy and the other one a handball in the box by R. González, no?

soy yo o Gerson Martínez jugó de volante por derecha contra la U?

Thanks, but to beat la U we win much more than good luck.
Torrente failed in his attempt to stop their midfielders with our horrible and theorically defensive midfield (Martínez, F.Rojas, R.González). No one of them is midfielder!!

Also, "Pepe" Díaz missed a penalty kick in the 1rst half, and the referee didn't want to call the foul of Lichnovsky against Flores inside the box, in the 1rst half too, few minutes before Pepe missed the pk.

Agreed. Bascuñán is his name? One of the worst Chilean referees, no doubt.
Lichnovsky made a foul against Flores inside the south box in the 1rst half, Rodolfo González intentionally touched the ball with his hand in the north box, Aránguiz deserved red card for hitting Sanhueza in the 2nd half, etc.
