What can I say I got a thing for polls. :)

It seemed like a narrow majority of the users favor the arrival of Zeman. So now the question is more general.

Would you be satisfied with the appointment of Zeman as coach?

My only concern with the arrival of Zeman is that they will double down on the idea of young players. I've got nothing against young players, but not all young players turn into Champions. If someone stinks then he stinks.

I really hope they move big on defense. With Zeman coming I think we should go for Ogbonna, even if he's costly. I suspect Rolando will be no more as he was being examined in case they went with Villas Boas.

And hopefully he gets a good assistent that can work the defense being better.

Only thing I'm still not sure of is what if he decides just to stay one year or we have an abysmal season? What happens after that? Again the search for a new coach?

I read somewhere that Zeman too gave an ok for Rolando.

I think we will score alot more then we did last year, we will play entertaining game too.
He is also excellent in nurturing young talent. Fans love him, it will provide the team stability and the management some breath.
We will also be number one anti-juve side, many other team fans will cheer for us. Bar the jube fans, and laziale.
Also Totti ending his career under zeman, I think is very nice thing to happen.

All in all I am yes for the move.

That's life. I think all things considered Zeman will be treated much better than Luis Enrique. In Italy with football you can go from genius to idiot like that, but Zeman has been around for years. He knows what's coming his way. He's very well liked I think he could achieve similar results and the radios would cut him more slack.

Seems the most logical move - Although AVB was the no. 1 choice last year and he's available now, Zeman is a people's manager, the management need him right now to win over the fans again. His football will be more suited to Italian teams his high tempo counter attacking football will break down Italian defences easier than LE's possession based football.

The only downsides to Zeman is we may see many decisions not go our way, which wasn't too uncommon this season anyway. Another problem with Zeman is the flood of goals conceded however Pescara had the highest goal difference in Serie B and also they had 11th least goals conceded as opposed to Roma's 14th best defence in Serie A. I predict next season under Zeman will be similar to last season but that the fans will be more won over by Zeman's football also many of our young players will blossom under Zeman as opposed to just having LE's faith.

Having both Zeman and Baldini leading this club will mean being team anti-Juve will be a big bonus :D

Also it'd be nice for Totti's career to come full circle under Zeman.

To hell with the Euros on with the new season.

Would say thats fair, CL would bring us 30 million.

I am pretty sure Ajax & other clubs we signed players from are fuming now that we missed CL this season haha.

Sky did cut/twist his interview yesterday. Denying he already said goodbye to the Pescara players.

Not my first choice but I'm fine if he is the choice. Much better than Montella.

this statement echoes my feelings perfectly! i'm in the avb camp, but i'm ALSO in the "please God, not montella" camp. zeman was my 2nd choice after avb, so i'm excited to get the deal done and move forward!

I am not sure if I favor him. I don't know his football enough and I have read conflicting reports on his style, from out and out attacking to counter attacking.

I personally do not want a manager with defends first then hopes to attack. I want a proactive manager who wants the ball and needs to control the game with one touch football and flair. I am basically the opposite of Henchag ;).

I will take a wait and see approach with him. The good thing about his appointment is that it will take longer than usual for the fans to turn on him if results go badly and give the club more time to continue making the changes the it needs off the field.
