Isn't the point of Rudi, that people told him he couldn't do it? That it was pointless, so don't bother trying? It's been a long time since I watched that movie or reviewed the history of that story, but I don't think it was the special olympics.
The bit about Dom, I questioned, as well. However, the sources I heard from could have been mistaking his appearance due to some Cascio loan involvement. That part could be conjecture from the sources. They said he was interviewed, but I cannot be certain of that piece.
I was digging back through this thread to compare it to the reactions to Bianchi's story. Its funny to see the optimism around Pablo and the season and OP gone now that we see how the season went.
Geez, I'm not reading through it. Super Bowl and NCAA BBall tourney references (the latter one was me)...what a crappy year 2014 has been for Colorado sports. Yay Mammoth?
Digging this one out of the archive as I was reminded that today is the 10 year anniversary of this fun...
BTW, full credit to Stuart for absolutely nailing the best candidates during this search. Can you imagine if we actually had hired Marsch, or Fraser 5 years earlier?
Wow, that's a blast from the past! I always felt bad for Pablo ... he needed to be an assistant for a bit prior to being thrown in the deep end. Instead, he got OJT with a poor roster. At the time, Marsch or Fraser would've been great and, if Pablo was an assistant under them, we would've had a succession plan in place. FWIW, I'm good with Armas ... I'd like to see what he can do unshackled from the Red Bulls system and without the basket case that is TFC.
