Is that why the Magicjack tech support guy has been coaching the team?

Hasn't he always said after the WC, he'd pick things up. He has picked up another national, Rap, and dumped Masar.

US wins Sunday. How many millions of eye views he gets for his MagicJack device vs wasting a bunch of money before the wc? He's definitely in a better position than Sahlen with the composition of his team.

    Wait and see.

Don't know, I just saw a quote from the owner in the paper, from Germany, after the Brazil game, praising "his" girls and patting himself on the back for trading for Rapinoe..

    You forgot "Go Press!"

I think WNY is in better shape overall, though the Rapinoe deal makes it closer.

The curious thing about magicJack ads is that they don't mention the team at all. If you're going to be in a soccer ad position, why not play up your tie to the sport? I'm still seeing a lot of confused people saying, "Wait, Abby Wambach plays for the whozits?"

He is in good position to capitalize on all the new Twitter followers Solo, Rampone and company have picked up. And I can understand why he wouldn't do an ad blitz before the stadium could be expanded. Still doesn't explain the Web site, lack of cooperation with reporters ...

Do you know if their lease would let them play at the new FAU football stadium when it opens in a month or two?

That crap @SS "system" he's having the players run w/ an overly agressive 3 back w/o the needed cover got torn apart by WNY prior to all the internationals leaving. I don't see it being that much different w/ the internationals back but tired & emotionally worn out (win or lose)

as i've said, if he watched the brasil game (and it seems he is keeping tabs on his players in the cup), he would have seen he can run a 3 back system if he did like lima did with a sweeper. would be damn tuff to score, even for wyn, if rampone is sitting back there cleaning up 1-3-3-3.

In all honesty, the news that Abby is "coaching" makes me think Rampone is done playing for mJ. And not b/c there's some sort of problem btwn Abby & Christie.

And really, we all know that Borislow will call the shots on the formation. The players know too much about soccer keep throwing out a 3 back system that clearly hasn't been properly coached in cover/balance/rotation.

The team on paper at the very start of the season could have been *very* good even w/o the USWNT players. Borislow frittered that away.

Hahaha, as a MJ superfan, I can say the team is complete MESS! :D

Even at this pt MJ's starting 11 with their 1st 3 off the bench is equal too or slightly better than WNY but we'll never know that.

If he just used a sweeper like Lima, that would solve 99% of their gap problems. MF transition to F is still messed up but they could limit a team like WNY to 1 goal instead of 3. No, because he only knows one way how to play.

My favorite player on the team was wondering hopeless in the MF for about 50% of game, basically doing her rendition of Ronaldinho. I don't think she has a clue what her role is, just horrible.

The reality of MJ' situatoin is he will crash and burn basically the NT in the 1st game of the playoffs vs having them play WNY in an epic final.

But I could be wrong, the girls could will themselves to WNY on talent alone, and get smash in the final 4-1.

They just can't win when they should be.

i also think that Rampone would not do the coaching if he would not agree to her making all the on field decisions. I only say that b/c she made that comment before when filling in that she was not the one making the sub decisions and formation

at least thier practices will be alot better so that might translate onto the field and not having him standing over them will help their heads alot hopefully and i see them doing much better with out him...

    Yep. Agree 100%.

Possibly. But I'm guessing he's still very much present at practices.

I really hope Abby does not put what's left of her USWNT career at major risk by agreeing to play too soon and too much for Borislow in the next two magicJack games. It is clear her achilles is really injured--a lot more than just achy from tendinitis. Those injuries take a long time to deal with and rest is one of the best (only?) ways to get major improvement. And if she doesn't rest properly, she could tear the whole d@mn thing. If that happens at her age, good by playing career. Hello next stage of life.

possibly Abby took on the coaching/ player role because she plans to limit her playing time or possibly not play at all in the remaining WPS games so as to rest/ rehab her achilles.

I think that Abby's role as player/coach is going to mostly lean towards coach...

If her ankle is that injured, there is no reason that she should be out there. Trust me, I want her on the field just as much as the next guy but I want to see the USWNT grab gold in London. I do want to see the mJ do well the rest of this season, but I believe Abby will make her impact from a coaching stand-point.

With all the hype coming from the USWNT, I do not believe that Abby is going to risk it. Making an even bigger impact on the world stage is going to make the WPS explode if the USA earns gold this next summer.

I don't know if Rampone or Boxx plan on coming back for the rest of the season, but I know Pinoe is planning on playing this upcoming Wed.

Let's hope for a playoff push. The mJ need it.

Man, I should have put my coaching resume in!! I probably have more 5 times experience coaching females than the owner. :)

it's not like they need them for 3 pts against Atl. i guess the crowd will be disappointed but they'll need their full roster for the run coming, just to get back in 3rd place or maybe 2nd.

I don't think 2nd is a reality for MJ... they may be fighting for 3rd/4th which is going to be tight... nice to have 2 teams at the top for a change

i can't see them any less than 5-2 with the nationals. they only have philly one and wny (at home), so 3rd is probably a lock. they are much better than boston or sbfc, much better. and the 1st team will fair better than the reserves with him. been around long enough to work around his nonsense field calls.
