That video made me laugh. I remember going to the Loja Fla by the Copacabana Palace hotel and the guy was trying to tell me to buy the 10 jersey with Dinho's name on it. I knew better to buy it.

That's only because Adriano's position takes less running. He can play (half-ass) as a big target man and still put up decent numbers. As long as the team can create chances for him. He is as much of a fuk up as Ronaldinho if not more. At least Ronaldinho had an amazing period for 4-5 years. Adriano barely reached a high level and threw it all away.

I count 4. But yeah he looked decent enough. Had some nice headers. But that was 3 years ago. He is now 30 and has been mostly injured for the last 2 years not to mention admittedly not taking care of himself during his recovery. I don't think you will see the Adriano of 2009. But it might be enough if Flamengo can use him correctly.

Damn, even though they still played like complete horseshit, we finally reversed the hex and had something go our way in the end. I might be a big homer, but if they bring in a couple solid players like they claim(a new 10, Caceres, and maybe another defensive guy), I think they can be good enough to secure a Libs spot again.

Judgement Day. If they don't win Papai Joel is more than likely out. I honestly dont know what I want as an outcome of this game.

What are peoples thoughts on getting rid of Joel?

I hate to keep changing coaches, but I'd like to see it happen again. I still can't help but think that letting Luxemburgo go was a big mistake. It doesn't seem like there are a lot of quality coaches out there, and he led an extremely weak (defensively at least), to a Lib berth. And unfortunately he got his payback to Patricia yesterday.

Yea from an outsiders point of view I don't really think there's much he can do. Flamengo need a cb and another creative midfielder, instead Joel gets Hernane? I think the defense is actually worse since the libertadores. They actually made Marcelo Moreno look good yesterday. I have sympathy for Joel because his big moves yesterday were bringing bottinelli on and then Negueba , i just think hes in no mans land with this squad. Why didn't Diego Mauricio play?

Do you know the latest on Caceres? I hate how with every single proven player we are involved with, it's always a long drawn process with drama and controversies.

I like Zinho a lot. I love that he doesn't try to manipulate or mislead anybody, including the fans. He's a smart dude and most importantly he is realistic.

So Patricia & Co. are getting desperate to score some points with the fans. Adryan is going to start on sunday. I really don't know how I feel about this. I'm afraid he's not ready and this will fvck with his confidence. It's going be a true baptism by fire regardless.

Check that, he's probably not starting but will play.

I was watching some random youtube videos and came across a clip of an U-15 kid for Flamengo, Caio Rangel (sp?). The U-15 part starts around the 18th minute. They start talking about Caio around 18:45. Anyway this kid seems talented as hell. Not only is he quick and shifty with the ball, but more importantly he seems unbelievably quick with his body also. I dont follow the younger national teams, so has anybody heard of this kid before? Any info on him in regards to expectations in the future?

yea.. he's actually very well known. He was one of the best players for the Brazilian U-15 team that played at the Sud-Americna U-15 tournament. Only player better than him was Vasco's Mosquito

Also it's looking really good on the coaching front. Jorge Sampaoli(La U from Chile, who laid the beat down on FLA in the Copa Sul, and made it to the semis in the Libs) and his agent have been making comments that he is interested and its seems like a good situation for him. I believe he has a game this monday and after that he will be completely available. I've also got the impression that Dunga would be interested also. I'd be estatic if either of those 2 took over.

Thanks. He looked like he had crazy skill on that video clip, but you never know about the competition when they are that young. Its good to hear he plays and performed well for the national team.

Holy Shit. Adryan! O Moleque Marca!

The midfield now is crowded pra caralho. Just resigned Airton on loan and Caceres is arriving tomorow. From comments on Flamengo's facebook page and the comments from Globo, NOBODY is happy with resigning Airton at all. I think I have to agree, as we are pretty set in the midfield if caceres is as advertised. The $(undisclosed fee ) could have been put to better use. Benfica wanted 5 million euros for him to be bought outright. Am I missing something? Is this guy anywhere near that good?

And Adryan and Renatos recent good game makes this a tough situation. So now we have 4 spots for:
