I was kinda disappointed with the 1-1 draw, but when I saw William Paul block that penalty I was like fugg yea!!!! It felt just like a victory especially after watching those Amierda fans go nuts when they called the foul on Marquez. 7 pts....lets keep it going !!!

The good thing is the team is creating chances unlike last season. Arizala should be a starter he generated a lot more danger than borelli.

Stupid Rafa always pulls this type of shit play at the end of games tho.

Yea, I really liked what I saw from Arizala, but couldnt help and notice that Boselli looked a little disappointed being pulled from the game. However, Leon is built on speed and Arizala fits with their system a bit better. Nice to see Gullit back in form once again as well....Sambueza deserved a few mouth shots too for the way he was acting up.

Pachuca and León tied, 1-1 yesterday. Both goals were nice, ours was scored by Arizala to tie the game. Arizala's goal starts around the 20th second of the video.

Well, if you can't beat them, buy them. León just bought Panamanian midfielder Alberto Quintero, who will be on loan at Lobos BUAP for the apertura. This is an investment that could pay off in a couple of ways. If he turns out to be a great player, León can use him or sell him. I like the swag: acting like a big club!

We are going to be busy next year!

    -Copa Libertadores del 2014
    -Concachampions del 2015

I think that if/when we beat America for the title, we also get a ticket to the Mundial de Clubes (2015)

Looks like we will be facing off in the Libertadores. Besides Rafa Marquez and Boselli, who should I be watching for and how much do you anticipate the team will change by the Libertadores?

They may not garner all the headlines that Gullit and Boselli have this season, and they don't have the provenance that Rafa Márquez does, but Matosas plays the Colombians really well. Burbano usually starts, but then we have Loboa and Arizala on the bench. Loboa in particular is very dynamic and those fresh legs really help.

In terms of possible changes, there are rumors that Burbano has already been sold to Tigres and it's official that León has already signed Miguel Sabah for next season. Losing Burbano would be bad. Not sure Sabah (at 34 years old) will compete to replace one of our forwards; he just had a bad season at Chivas, but he did score a lot of goals prior that so him coming off the bench might be a good thing for us.

What Flamengo players do we need to watch for?

¡Felicidades!

First off, congratulations on your championship. The group is going to be a royal pain in the @....

As for the players to watch....
    • Hernane, striker: He led Brazil in all competitions in scoring. He really found his form in September and caught fire till the end of the season. He is much more dangerous when we play at home.
    • Paulinho, second striker/winger: Another player that was important in our resurgence after Mano Menezes (ex-NT coach who lost to your Mexico in the Olympics :(). He's a pacey player that creates with his dribbling ability. I wouldn't be worried about his finishing though.
    • Samir: I'm sure you've heard of Marquinhos at PSG and maybe Doria (youth NT star). Well, Samir is the next in line of promising young CBs.
    • Elias: Probably known for his failure at Atletico Madrid and Sporting, he's been the player he was prior to his move to Europe for us. A true box-to-box player that can score, pass and mark. He's arguably been our most important player this season.
    • A couple other notable names that aren't as important: Felipe, Leo Moura, Andre Santos (yes, THAT one. Was solid for us down the stretch even though I don't rate him).

Congratulations as well! I was rooting for you guys. Did you guys see the post game interview . . . Stay Classy Miguel Herrera, am I right?

Now, I know there other groups who deserve the "Group of Death" title more than our group but I don't think we are that far off from deserving that title . . . I believe that this impressive group is a "Group of Champions":

Club Bolívar (2013 Clausura Bolivian League Champion)*
Clube de Regatas do Flamengo (2013 Copa do Brasil Champion)
Club Sport Emelec (2013 Year Long Ecuadorian League Champion)
Club León F.C. (2013 Apertura Champion)

*With one week remaining in the 2013 Apertura, Bolivar is leading by one point.
